Preachers Daughter

Bethany POV:

"Beth wake up were gonna be late for church" my mom called out panicked. Those words were practically my life everyday we were going to the church to either pick up something or meet someone. Don't get me wrong i loved church it is so fulfilling but having my dad as the head paster I felt like I had so many responsibilities to live up to like I couldn't slip cause everyone was watching me. The one thing I enjoyed was it was Wednesday and we got to dress up casual on Wednesdays it was more of a youth thing. I slipped on a pair of high wasted black shorts with a tank top and crop top that had a UK flag on it I slipped a pair of red vans on and applied some eye liner and mascara with a touch of red lipstick putting my hair up into a high pony tail grabbing my iPhone and keys and heading out the door with my mom hot on my heals. "So since your 18 and have been searching for places near I have found a small flat about 10 minutes away it has a very nice view and it's about 5 minutes away from the church I was thinking we would go check it out afterwards?" My mom asked kinda in a question. "Omg thanks so much mom I was really stressing about that I can't wait to check it out!"

"Ah sweetie this is John he will be the new youth leader John this is my daughter Bethany she leads worship every Wednesday!" My dad approached me barley even letting me step inside. "Hi I'm Bethany congrats on the new job we have a lovely youth here and I'm stocked

To be working here with you!" I said trying to sound as nice as possible."So I've heard well ill see you around can't wait!" He looked me up and down I already didn't like him I pushed those thoughts away and started warming up I always sang Hill song I loved to sing but when it came to singing Christian I had to be singing something modern and hill song was perfect it had the modern edge and it fit my voice quite well. "Hello everyone I'm just gonna open us up with one of my favorite songs by hill song young and free called life line.

"You are my all you'll never let goo Jesus forever" I sang getting really into the music that was my all time favorite song.

"So here we are!" My mom yelled excitedly. Wow it was so perfect we walked through the flat it was small but all I needed it had a bedroom and guest one two bathrooms and an amazing view of the beach and I knew this had to be mine! "Wow mum I love it so much it's it's perfect thank you so much!" I said grasping her in a long hug. "Your-welcome"she said teary eyed but she knew it was time for me to start a life outside of our house we stayed out on the balcony forever and listened to paramore I loved them they were so talented and my mom understood that I liked other music to on the other hand my dad didn't quite get that. After we got home we broke the news to my father who had just arrived home I mean I know he's the he's paster but sometimes I felt liked he cared more about the church then his own family. He was happy to see we found a flat for me happier then I expected. I ran up to my room and dialed Jessica's number as fast a so could me and Jessica had been friends since 5th grade and I loved her so much she was attending uni right now which I had already had two years done with due to finishing them in high school but it was worth all the work cause now I didn't have to go to college for two years. "Hey girl"Jess said on the second ring. I think thats why our friendship worked out so well she was so weird as was I. "Hey so guess what!!" "What??" "So my mum found a flat today and we went to look at it and I'm getting it its so perfect it has a beach view and perfect space!" I let out in one breath. "Omg omg I have to come see you congrats so happy for you when are you moving in!?" She screamed I chuckled knowing shed be this happy for me."um I have to be fully moved in by the end of this month!" "Omg okay well I get a break in two weeks from uni for about two weeks and ill come down and help you pack and settle in after visiting the family!" She said "thanks so much can't wait, gotta go but text me ttyl;)" with that we need our call. I pulled out my laptop and logged onto YouTube I loved all my subscribers and my YouTube channel I had over thousands of them and all I did was put videos of my singing up I had promised to put one up today so I adjusted the camera pulled my guitar and sang still into you acoustically after I was pleased with the turnout I uploaded it to my channel shutting my laptop and drifting into sleep thinking about what was next for me in life. The church? A boy? Friends? Family? Idk
