Chapter 2:
"Ashley!" I shrieked.
Some kids nearby started pouring water on her face. She had fainted.
What the heck was happening?
Ashley shook her head for a moment. And then remembered what she was doing before.
She stared at the ceiling above her. Silence for 15 seconds at least.
Not blinking once.
Tears slowly spilled out of her eyes. Like water spilling over a rock.
"What happened?"
Ashley barely spoke.
"Megan."
"Huh?"
I was so confused. What happened to Megan?
Megan has been my best friend since we were basically in diapers. I knew everything that she knew.
Everything.
We did everything together. We double dated, we had all the same bestfriends. My mom was her mom, her dad was my dad. We played on all the same teams. We had lunch at the same time. We bought the same things. We liked the same things (foods, clothes, items). If anything happened to Megan, I would die.
Ashley stretched her arm out.
Really slowly, really weakly.
I looked at where she was pointing to. And then I fell over. I sobbed my eyes out.
No she couldn't.
No she didn't.
Megan wasn't here at this school.
Megan probably wasn't even on the face of this earth.
Megan was riding in the back of the ambulance.
Megan was probably flying away.
Up into heaven.
