I wake to hear the crickets of the night chirping. The sound of wind blowing the cool night air. Dew drops dropping from a lone golden flower, shining under the moonlight. Standing on my knees, I scan the scenery in awe. Where am I? How did I get here?
...And that's where Isa's journey begins...
My eyes landed back to where the shining flower was. I stood up as my instincts made me walk towards it. As I got closer to it, it glowed even brighter. I felt a weird energy surround me as the glow was surrounding me slowly. When I finally reached right in front of it, I kneeled down and unconsciously wrapped it around the palm of my hand to feel a tingling spark from it. Right then, I looked around to see that I have been completely surrounded by the glow. I looked back to see that the flower was already gone and to feel energy surging from my palms spreading through my body, and that's when my hands started to glow. What is happening to me? I raised my hand, swirling it in the air, creating a sparkle of golden light. "Wow...am I dreaming??" I whispered to myself. I decided to test out my new powers more. Making small sparks in the air, making it look like small fireworks. Creating moving images of horses running around in the fields. Shooting small sparks on the ground making wildflowers appear and bloom. It was beautiful. I wish that this dream could last forever.
As she was discovering her new powers, she was slowly approaching a nearby cliff. She was too busy discovering her new powers that she didn't even realize that there was a cliff right behind her. She was just finished designing a golden wing on her back when she suddenly slipped and fell off the cliff. "Ahhh!!" she screamed as she thought to herself, 'I guess my dream ends now...' To her surprise, she never felt her back hit the cold, hard ground but instead opens her eyes to find herself flying just a couple of inches above the ground with those wings she just designed. "This is amazing!" she cheered to herself, flying circles in the air. Although it took her some time to finally get ahold of her wings, she was already flying through the cool night air, seeming so free and relaxed. But then she realized something. If she fell off that cliff and almost hit the ground, shouldn't she have woken up from this dream out of shock? And that's when it hit her like a truck, she wasn't dreaming. It was all real. But as much as she wants to stay in this 'dream' forever, she needs to go back home. Will she ever find a way to go back home to her family?
Little did she know what she was going to be going through...
