It was a regular Friday night and Four teenagers had absolutely nothing better to do but to stare at a wall. Until Jess, Sadie, and Jake got a text from Rex. It said,"Meet me at the abandoned landfill at 9! Unless you have something better to do, (which you probably don't)." As soon as Sadie got the text she began to get ready. She was positive it was the perfect time to tell Jake that she liked Him.
Meanwhile, not too far down the road Jess was getting ready. Jess knew that Sadie also liked Jake. So she needed to tell him as soon as possible that she liked him. Or else Sadie would grab the bait before she did and she was not going to let that happen. Problem was she didn't have a ride so she sent Sadie a text that said, "Please come get me at my house." Within a matter of minutes Sadie was there waiting on her front porch.
"Well are you ready for tonight?" said Sadie.
"I think so." Said Jess nervously.
They both jumped in the car and blasted some Passion Pit. Sadie thought it was ok but Jess loved it. They finally reached the landfill and could hear the roar of Rex's car. Jake and Rex were sitting on the hood of the car laughing and talking. Jess and Sadie slowly emerged from the bright blue beetle waiting to see what the night would hold for them.
"Hey you ladies ready for some fun tonight?" Yelled Rex at the top of his lungs.
"Oh yeah!" said Sadie rather quietly.
"Hey guys!" said Jake with his shiny, white pearly teeth.
"Hey Jake!" said Jess and Sadie at the same time.
"Well Rex said he wanted to drive around the landfill super fast."
"Really?" Said Jess. "I'm not sure if that is safe."
"Excuse us for a moment," said Sadie with no hesitation.
Sadie quickly grabbed Jess by the arm and walked away from Rex and Jake.
"What is wrong with you?" She said.
"Nothing," said Jess.
"You know exactly what I mean."
"Actually I do... sort of."
"Why won't you go riding with Rex and Jake?"
"Cause I don't think it's safe."
"Well sounds like it will be just me and the boys."
"Ok! I'll go Sadie but I have a bad feeling about this though."
"Don't worry! what's the worst that could happen?"
Slowly the two girls began to walk back to Rex's car.
"So you ladies ready to ride in the car?" Said Rex.
"Yeah were ready," said Sadie and Jess at the same time.
Slowly they all hopped in Rex's car. Sadie and Jess took a seat in the back and buckled up. Jake sat in the passenger seat next to Rex. As Rex put the key in the ignition you could hear the roar of the car. As soon as Rex could he slammed on the gas pedal and cranked up his music.
While the music was blasting Jess and Sadie were deep in their thoughts. They could both smell Jake's cologne, and noticed how he kept flipping his shiny blonde hair. Jess couldn't help but wonder if it was the right time to tell Jake that she liked him. She decided she would tell him later on in the ride. Sadie on the other hand couldn't help but mess with her long red hair and think of Jake. She had to do something but didn't know what.
As they continued to drive the car seemed to be going faster and faster. Every time they came towards a curve everyone's heart began to skip a beat. They all knew that the landfill trail was almost over because that's where the land stopped and that's where the cliff was.
"Jake, can I tell you something?" said Jess.
"Yeah sure Jess," said Jake.
"Rex! slow down the cliff is almost here!" said Sadie nervously.
"Guys I can't slow down!" Screamed Rex nervously.
"WHAT?!?" screamed everyone else.
"The brakes are jammed! They won't work!"
They were only a couple of feet away from the cliff and there was no way of escaping. Suddenly they ran off the cliff.
"Jake I-" Vroom!! Crash! The car hit the bottom of the cliff before Jess could tell Jake that she liked him.
Later on the teens parents wondered where they were. They had gotten no calls or texts and they had begun to worry. The next day the police showed up at each of their parents doors and told them that their children had died in a crash. When they examined the teens bodies they found a note in one of their pockets it said:
Dear Jake,
I couldn't tell you this in person so I wrote a note. Well the truth is I like you. I think about you every second of the day and more. Will you be mine?
Xoxo, Sadie.
