Its the first day of senior year at a new school. Alexandria wakes up and gets ready reluctantly. After three months of begging her mom to stay in one place her mom moved her to a new town which in turn means a new school. New friends. New experiences. The thought alone made Alex's stomach turn with anxiety. Her mom Sabrina, got offered a job she couldn't pass up here in the outskirts of Central Phoenix. Paid sick leave and a 401k was much more than her previous job had offered her. Like usual Alex and her mom got up around the same time. Alex was rummaging through boxes of her clothes. They haven't really had the time to unpack between enrolling and her mom's new job.
"Damn it I can't find anything in this stupid house", Alex thought. She settled for skinny jeans and an oversized hoodie. "This will just have to work.. Not that I really want to go to this new school.." she thought again.
She went to the kitchen grabbed an orange, grabbed her backpack and keys and went into the garage. She slammed the car door shut once she got in. And clicked the button to open the garage door. She logged the address to the school in her GPS and backed out of the garage onto the driveway. Then onto the street and left in the direction the GPS told her to go.
The silence in the car drove her nuts so she turned on 98.3 and danced in her seat to Rae Summærd's Black Beatles. She got to the school with 15 minutes to spare. She found an open parking spot and sat in her car collecting herself. Why was she so anxious? "Hopefully I can get through today without any panic attacks.." she thought to herself. She got out of the car grabbed her stuff and locked it.
