"What can I get you?" I ask the next customer in the queue, not even really looking up. My feet are aching and I've still got 3 hours until my shift ends. I like my job at Starbucks but sometimes it's tiring because it's so busy all of the time.

"Latte with an extra shot to go please" the customer replies. The voice is familiar and I assume it's one of our regulars who come here daily.

"What name?" I ask absent-minded as I reach for one of our trademark white and green take out cups and a marker pen to write the name. There's a pause. I sigh as I look up wondering what sort of idiot has to think about their own name.

I give him and expectant look which suddenly becomes shock as I take in the face of the person standing before me.

"Louis" he replies with a shy smile.

I freeze.

There's an awkward pause as I stare at him and he looks back at me.

"Nice to meet you" he finally says extending his hand.

I reach for it still in complete shock and disbelief and unable to speak.

"Lauren?" he asks as he reads my name badge. I blush.

"Ummm Yeh I'm lauren" I reply trying to remember how to breathe.

More awkward silence follows.

He tries to hand me money to pay for his drink.

"N.... no! It's ok. This is on me. I can't....believe....You're here....in my Starbucks...." I tell him.

"And whys that?" He asks with a smirk.

"B....because.... I can't actually believe you're here!" I reply. Wow. I've hit a whole new level of airhead!

He does a shy laugh.

"So are you having a good day?" He asks politely.

"I've had worse!" I reply blushing.

"What's you're friend having?" My colleague asks from beside me taking the cup out of my hand impatiently.

Fuck. I can't even remember what it was he asked for? Oh God this is so embarrassing!

I cringe as I look back at him.

"Latte, extra shot" he reminds me. My colleague nods and starts making his drink.

"So how do you two know eachother then?" She asks as she steams the milk.

I feel myself go bright red. She has no idea who he is. How the hell do I tell her we don't and that he's Louis from One Direction?

"Well we kinda don't know eachother yet, but maybe we'll change that hey?" louis replies before I can answer.
I feel myself blush.

My colleague hands him his coffee and he thanks her then sort of just stands looking at me.

"You going to ask for her number then or just stand there staring at her with heart eyes?" My colleague asks folding her arms sassily. Omg. If she even knew who she'd just said that to she'd die!

"Both" he replies back with equal sass and a cocky smirk.

My colleague can't help but laugh and I go an even darker shade of red. As if this is actually happening?

I scribble my number down on a napkin and hand it to him. He winks at me and leaves.

"I can't fucking believe that! did you see how hot he was? You lucky cow!

"You have no idea do you?" I ask her.

She just looks at me like I'm crazy.

"Nope? Should I?" She asks.

"That WAS louis" I tell her.

"Yeh I know I wrote his name on the cup because you were all flirty remember?" She laughs.

"Louis, louis" I say giving her a look of recognition so that she will realise.

"Louis????" She asks still baffled.

"Louis! Louis. From one direction who I love" I tell her finally giving up any hope of her figuring it out.

She looks at me as recognition finally falls on her pretty face and she covers her mouth with her hand.

"Lauren.... you were so calm. If that had been my favourite celebrity I'd have freaked out!" She says giggling.

"I just froze" I admit.

"But it rocked because not freaking out meant he took your number!" She says in an excited tone.

"Omg! He did! He took my number!" I say covering my face with my hands.

"Oh my god I was so rude to him! Shit!" Jenny replies covering her face with her hands and cringing at her sassy comment.

"I'm actually going to die" I tell her trying to remember how to breathe.

"I'm actually going to die with you. I can't believe I just did that.... to him! A megastar! Why didn't you stop me?" She asks still mortified.

We both burst out laughing.
