Hey guys its Amber and in this book I don't want you to hold back anything and criticize me.

It was early morning when the grand city of New York began to wake. To the corporals, their days had just begun, but in the shadows of the city, o one except a select few knew about the life that was just going to sleep after being the terrors of the night. As was no one aware that in a certain carriage three young women were discussing things other than the weather and fashion. Meet our "heroines" of the story Marie, Veronica, and Adelia. On the outside these women looked like your everyday posh, upper class snobs. But if you look closer you would have realized and seen certain bumps in their clothing,as if they were hiding something. My name is K.M. Knight and I will be the narrator for this story.

So let's figure out what exactly makes this oh-so-ordinary carriage become a little bit not-so-ordinary and why these ordinary women are actually not ordinary at all. Marie sighed for what seemed to Adelia to be the 100th time. Adelia asked, "Marie, what ever is the matter now?" Veronica, however, answered before Marie could answer for herself. "It's obvious she's uneasy about leaving the cottage." At that sentence every girl present (me included even though they couldn't see me) sighed picturing the beautiful country mansion in which they had lived and spent their whole lives in before the Council had summoned them to the city. Veronica remembered that day clearly. The girls had been practicing dueling and Marie had just knocked Adelia flat on her butt and Veronica had been laughing very hard at the astonished and indignant look Adelia had just made on her face. She had looked over at Marie and watched as she stepped slightly in front of Adelia and Veronica, the warm smile she had just been sporting slowly vanishing. Marie was tense, her bright blue eyes alert and her bow loaded. Adelia and Veronica grabbed their weapons just in time to see three people emerge from the shadows of the path that lead from the cottage to the platform they had been on and the training grounds. Adelia and Veronica had to hold in their laughter as a very tough looking and built man stepped in front of the other two with him, but the funniest thing was that he looked nervous as he approached Marie. Of course they couldn't blame him, Marie may be as small and dainty as a fairy but she could and had put a grown man on his butt. He cleared his throat nervously when he was about a foot and a half away from the girls and bowed. "Your highnesses", he murmured with respect. "Yes?" Marie questioned impatiently for all of them. "Your mother and father have summoned your highnesses to join them in the Council meeting hall." "Thank you. You are dismissed." Adelia answered crisply as Marie turned around. The man bowed and left them. When the three people were far enough away Veronica looked at Adelia and Marie. "What do you think they need us for?" she questioned. Adelia and Marie shrugged and Adelia said "We should probably change-------HEY!" Veronica looked and saw that Marie already was halfway to the path. When Adelia and her had finally caught up to Marie they shot her a questioning look to which Marie shrugged her shoulders and smirked. Catching the meaning of the look Adelia groaned. They would be showing up to a summoning in workout tank tops and yoga pants--in front of all the leading elders of their society... TO BE CONTINUED
