Chapter 1: Introductions

The day was all but calm. It was chaotic, and practically a living hell. I am in Echo Squad of the U.S. Special Forces, 13th Brigade. My team and I, being reffered to as Ace, were inside of a blazing hot humvee with the room shaking around us as the tires had met the bumps in the sand. We were heading to a facility in Africa to gather information on the bio-organic terrorist weapons which were tested on civilians and possibly put an end to a corporation called Vezolcell which had been created by Russian scientists, though trying to hide in Africa. We got word by a contact about three months ago, and have been training ever since we got the message. My team consisting of me, Ace, Spades, King and Jak. Jak was my best friend, ever since we were little kids and we grew up in  the 'Big Apple' all of our lives to grow up in the streets, because our parents had died due to these bio-organic weapons, but were fooled into thinking it was a business trip in order to talk about stocks or something. What did I know? I was a kid. I got the word that my parents had been tested on, telling them that some sort of disease was spreading and it was a vaccination, though it was just the disease in a small little syringe, a nation could be destroyed just by the push of a plunger. Well, when we found out about this, Jak and I decided to leave New York and go to Washington.  We were only a little over 10 at that time. A time of depression. We were homeless, surviving on the streets in order to keep a steady heart-beat. We had been asked to join the U.S. Special Forces after several years in the Marines. We both accepted and have been proud veterans for about three years now, going on several missions as small as destroying weapon supplies in European weapon smuggles, to as large as taking down large terrorist groups. But now, we were going to go on a 'nother big mission. Spades was a good friend of mine, and more of a trainee back in the day when we were in the Corps. I now consider ourselves equals do to his rapid growth of skill, and I am proud of him through all of these years of his training. King was my good partner right after Jak. When I had joined the Special Forces, Jak and I had been split, where King had been there when we first went on our first Operation. Now we're all going on to this Operation to take down V-Cell, or Vezolcell. Vezolcell is a small corporation that is trying to wipe out the globe, and from the records we got a while back from the Strikr Report, they seem to be reforming after the destruction of their facilities by Alpha team back in 2004 and spreading a virus around called the "X-Virus", supposably taking over the human brain and controling them like slaves, but comes with a cost of enhanced abilities. With the encounters we have had with the X-Cell We were about twenty minutes away from the Rendezvous point with Delta Team, they were there only to secure the area and scout us information on the location of Vezolcell. I was inspecting my trusty M4A1 in my gloved hands which were black and had an extra slide-proof grip on the fingertips. I was nearest to the rear door, peaking out to see view the dust trail to blind my goggles vision from outside, fogging the windows with pure filth. Jak was gazing outside with his M4A1 strapped to his back, strapped on much like how a warrior carried his sword back in the old times. What was he thinking about? He didn't look depressed, but curious. Spades was crouched down with one hand stuck up out of the circular opening with one hand resting on the rim as he viewed through the front windshield, though seeming to be ready at any time to man the turrent which was out of the way outside, attatched to the roof of the Humvee. My eyes gazed up at King as I then spoke for the first time for nearly four hours of travel. "Hey, what's the sit-rep on V-Cell?" I asked, seeming to not currently know of it's wherabouts. "Vezolcell is estimated to be around thirty clicks from here, but Delta will fill us in on the details. We're almost here, so save your questions for Jaro." I nodded and proceeded to look upon my M4, though it was in perfect condition.

Chapter 2: The First Encounter

Those 20 minutes seemed like 45, due to the fact that I had hated V-Cell for what they did to my parents. I was ready to kick some ass, and make sure I made those damn people pay for what they had done. After those grueling 20 minutes, King and I pushed the double doors in the back, open and stepped out, stretching my legs felt wonderous as I and King then approached Jaro and his squad who were standing by their own humvee, Spades and Jak following right after. King began to ask questions, "So, anything between here and V-Cell?" He asked. Jaro kicked off of his Humvee and approached King. "Yeah, just up the road, when you get to the crossroads, we saw a few white trucks with turrets on the back, watch out. Also. Take this." He said, reaching into the Humvee and pulling out a thin file and handing it to King. "This'll explain what to do once you're inside of the facility. Get 'em out their, boys." King smirked from under his mask and handed me the file, I turned the thin manilla cover and read the first objective. "Secure a perimeter around the entrance and be sure to eliminate all hostiles along the way." I nodded and looked up, closing the file for now and handing it to Jak, and he handed it to Spades after a second or two, it was back to me, and I read the second objective. "Infilitrate the entrance and secure the inside, this will possibly be the lobby area. You will find heavy guarding, so proceed with caution." I nodded and looked at the big bolded words. "Gather samples of the X-Virus and eliminate all victims of the virus. Then, proceed to plant C4 at every door." I closed the file and placed it in the back of the humvee, not needing to read any more of those repeated words. King and Jaro conversed for a good five minutes, about V-Cell and I turned to Spades and Jak. "Let's move." My voice was dark with hatred of V-Cell and I proceeded towards the front of the Humvee, and opened the driver door, sliding into the seat and grabbing hold of the wheel, the keys already in the ignition and awaited for Jak, Spades, and King to load up, when they did, they opened the Assault Windows and peered out of them. The Assault Windows were large windows in the back of the doubled doors and allowed bullets to be fired out of the back without danger really being an option. There was only a hole big enough for the barrel of their M4A1 and for them to look out of the sights. I pushed down the petal and began down the road, the scenery seeming to roll passed me at a quick rate before I looked back at the file in the front seat, and typing in a cordinates in the advanced GPS where it pin-pointed the location of out objective. Before I knew it, we were at the cross-roads and sure enough, there was a large African male armed with an AK-47 standing on the side of the road as he lowered a gate in front of our Humvee, and I stopped abruptly, drifting to the side slightly and looking towards the male. "Don't piss off the locals, Ace." King whispered in a low toned, hushed voice to me. "If he does anything, I won't get sued, right?" I chuckled quietly, and Jak smirked and whispered in a sarcastic tone. "Yeah, like these guys have attorneys." I grinned and leant back in my seat, gripping my Heckler and Koch 45 handgun in my hand and kept it out of their sight. "What can I do you for?" I asked once the African had approached the window, but he spoke in a harsh and barking tone. "That's not they way I would do it, sir." Though, I did not know what he was saying, I was kidding. The African growled slightly and raised his AK-47 and pointed the barrel through the window. "Spades, when I do my thing, I want you to, cover my six, but only 'cause nightfall, not eternal darkness. Got it?" He nodded and raised up, placing his hands on the handles of the turret and seeming to act natural. "Three... Two.. One... Show time." I opened the door in an abrupt manner and slammed it onto the African's torso and legs, though he pulled the trigger to his AK and tore up the passenger seat with a collage of bullets. "Oh, I hope you're going to pay for that." I said, as I stepped out of the door, gripping the handgun in my hand and approaching the fallen African, though he was attempting to scramble to his feet, I gripped his head and slammed it into the side of the hood of the Humvee and knocked him out cold. Whether he was dead or not, was not my problem. I looked at Spades and raised my hand, he filled the turret with a flashbang instead of real bullets and shot a grenade at the other African who was shocked by the events which had played before him and was blinded by the sudden burst of a white flash and where I had followed up by walking towards the blinded African and wrapped my arm around his throat and feeling out the wallet he contained in his back pocket. I opened it up and viewed he was apart of V-Cell. "Fuck you!" I screamed in his ear, slamming him into the nearest table inside of the little station, and approaching his body on the floor, smashing his face with my fists as I then picked him up and grabbed the keys out of his pocket. After the effects wore off of the African, he was then strapped to a chair with rope that had been found, and I raised my walkee-talkee to my mouth and pressed the talk button. "Jak, take the wheel, tell the rest of the squad to pull into the station for interegation of this bastard. He's apart of V-Cell." After talking, I could hear a faint voice. "Copy that." And after a moment or two, I heard Spades and King come into the room with a pair of hedge-clippers. Oh the fun I could use with these. "So, tell me Karafi, how heavy is the security at V-Cell?" I asked, approaching him with the pair of hedge-clippers and smirking under my gas-mask. "Like I'll ever tell you." He spat at our feet, where I already lost it. "That's cool." I said, opening the hedge-clippers and slamming the blades into his knees, blood squirting upon the cold blade as I left it in his knees. "So. Mind telling me, now?" I asked, pushing down on the hedge-clippers handles and spreading them so the wound would only get larger. "It's moderate, you will see many snipers. I hope you'll rot in hell though!" He screamed in agony and pain, where I chuckled and tore the clippers out of his knees and nodded. "Yeah, you too." I said, before slamming the hedge-clippers into his chest and severing his heart. "Let's move out." I said to my sqaud, before walking out the door and towards the small white station/room and pushing the keys into a slot and turning it, the drop-gate rising and where my team and I came back, and I slid into the front seat once again, thought the drop-gate was slow, rising I caught glimpse of two white trucks waiting with men on the turrets and a few others on the side, still in the back. "Oh shit. Hold on! Spades, on the turret!" I called back and turning the wheel and slamming on the gas, turning away from the drop-gate and going down the road, where they both followed on our trail, the road now seeming so much more bumpy and easy to drift on, which we did on this first corner as we had turned, in the savanna and going at a high-rate of speed. The two white trucks had gained on our tail as we had kept on a straight, the turret blaring as Spades had shot at the trucks, only taking out a few men out of the back of the trucks, but not the turrets. With each bullet of the other truck's turret I could feel the control of the wheel slipping away from me. I gripped the H&K 45 from my side and held it in my left hand, my other hand still controlling the steering wheel as I then drifted a bit too much, on purpose, and opened the door while we were still in full-speed, turning my back and aiming the sights on the left wheel of the other truck and shot multiple bullets at it, causing it to deflate automatically and swerve out of control and slam into the other truck parralel from eachother, the one which was slammed into was flipped and the men in the back had fallen out and been crushed by the rolling truck, the turret also being destroyed. I slammed the door shut and drifted to a complete stop and sighed a bit and chuckled in the spur of the moment. "Damn. Too close." Spades sighed and chuckled as well. "Just 'nother ordinary day." I murmured as I then turned the wheel and pushed on the gas half-way to the floor, going at about 35 MPH as I drove back towards the drop-gate and drove passed it, but the censor of the angle of the Humvee had dropped it back down. "No going back, boys." King said to the group as he rested in the seats, but kept on edge still. "You guys keep frosty, alright?" I looked back and caught glimpse of a X-Infectant dashing it's way towards our Humvee. "Oh shit! Get out!" The X-Virus infectant looked like another ordinary civilian, but his shirt was off and his eyes were striken with bright orange and yellow. When I and the rest of the squad jumped out of the Humvee, it flew quite a distance away when the Infectant had slammed into it with the obvious note that  the X-Virus Infectant was pretty pissed. I fell to the floor on the savanna's long blades of grass and King, Jak and Spades had left out of my sight somewhere. I kept on the floor for a moment before viewing the Infectant going after a firing Spades who was shooting at it with a handgun, not sure which one it was, though. Looked like a .45. The Infectant took the bullets with ease, they shattering it's skin as it slowed it down just little by little. "Shades, keep it distracted. I'll be there in a second." I spoke into my headset radio as I then pushed myself off of the floor, pulling a fragmentation grenade from my belt and held it as I snuck up from behind the Infectant, who was still walking slowly towards the group of Men who were desperately shooting at it with their handguns, not to waste their M4A1 ammunition. When the Infectant was just about to charge, I came from behind the large beast and shoved the grenade inside of it's mouth, trapping it between it's powerful jaws, just after pulling the clip off of the top of the grenade. When I did, I turned around and lunged towards the side, falling to my stomache and covering my head, the explosion blasting the head of the beast's into splattered bits and brain, or at least what was left of it, into the long grass and staining the soil. I stood to my feet and glancing towards the squad and then towards the Humvee which had been partially damaged. "Guys. Thirty clicks away is quite a walk and we need to go quickly. The Truck is almost gone. What should we do?" I placed my hand on my ear and talked into the radio, the rest of the team doing the same to listen in. "HQ, our Humvee is destroyed by a Code 1 Infectant, and we're still 30 clicks away from V-Cell." After a pause, a voice crackled through some static. "Echo Team, your objective is still valid. You will  encounter a village, a little west of your location, of possible Bio-Terrorism, but it has a stream of tunnels that lead to V-Cell's facility, but you will encounter enemies most likely. Over." I nodded and shook my head, looking towards my team and nodding to them as well. "Understood. Ace out." I switched off my headset for the HQ and began with my H&K 45 in both of my hands, and kept it to my hip with the barrel pointed down, as I began towards the Humvee, which had thankfully landed on it's wheels correctly, and opened the door to the back seat and climbing inside for a moment before kicking the back doors open to toss a large mound of ammunition out the back of it. "Guys, load up. We're not going to be provided support for a while." And, with that, I found a fragmentation grenade that was suitable to replace the frag grenade that I had used. When they had replaced the ammo they had used, I picked the large mound back up to the back of the Humvee and leaving the double doors open, as I then opened the front door, and slid inside, one foot still resting on the African soil, as I attempted to turn the key within the ignition, the struggling sound of the engine sounding for a second before I let it rest for a second. The second time, the amazing sound of the the roar of the engine had bursted and I turned to view my team. "Load up."
