Greetings, I am Clair. I am strange, and mostly, I am unwanted. My parents never wanted me, the people around me never wanted me, I never even wanted myself. I was strange to others and I never understood why, until February 14th, my 6th birthday. My birthday was diffrent from others, because I was not celebrated, but I was acknowledged. In the worst possible way. When my birthday came I could never see anything happening, but I did feel it. They dragged me out of the bed around midnight, and i was dragged down some stairs, and heard a door click. My parents started laughing, I was anxious and scared. They dragged me onto a stone chair and proceeded to duct tape my hands to the arms of the chair. I couldn't move. I could barely breath. I was bareley conscious. I struggled to break my wrists free from the tape, but I was too weak. Strong footsteps stomped towards me followed by light sharp steps. My parents steps. Coming closer. And closer. The worst sound was the sound of metal. Sharp metal. It made my blood go cold. "M-mom? D-dad?" I manged to spit out. Tears where streaming down my cheeks. "Shut up you FREAK." Mom shouted. My heart was beating rapidly and my mind couldn't understand why this was happening. I felt mom's hands forcefully grab my face and she jerked it towards her. Her breath reeked of alcohol. "Don't you get it? We never wanted you and this is what you get, for being born a MONSTER!" Then she slapped me, again and again. "MOM STOP PLEASE!" I screamed. I kicked and struggled to get free, then there was the pain. Dad grabbed my leg and twisted it backwards. I couldn't even scream, my mouth was dry and I couldn't find my voice. The pain was excruciatingly sharp and then I realized they were cutting me. I struggled to get free but that made the pain worse. I felt weak. I felt drowsy. Then everything went black.
