Kozuki wasn't used to popularity. Back in her old school, her raggedy second hand uniform, the rumors about her lifestyle, had never endeared her to her fellow school mates.  In fact, she was avoided like a bad plague.

But in Valkyrie's Academy, Pumkin was who every girl aspired to be, and what every boy wished they were dating.

Pumkin first noticed it when she went to her first swimming lesson. When she came out for the first time, wearing her bikini (she wondered why there wasn't regulated school swimwear), the men wouldn't stop staring at her, which made her embarrassed so that she ended up standing on the edge of the pool, wrapped in a towel.

Cara was also the subject of popularity in this respect thanks to her slender figure, but her innocent attitude allowed her to jump right into the pool, bikini, dignity and all, and happily hug anybody who asked for a hug, Something which infuriated Krillin when he came to pick them up, resulting in him punching a boy's lights out for asking for too many 'hugs'.

In fact, after the first swim lesson, Krillin began demanding that Pumkin and Cara wear one piece swimsuits from then on.. which they did.. but still the guys continued to stare, which even caused Vegeta to lose his temper. (is that how a normal dad acted? Pumkin wondered.)

Every time Pumkin entered the cafeteria come lunch time, girls would be clamoring for her to sit with them, and boys would try to subtly to flirt with her without success.

Pumkin remembered when she used to dream about having such popularity, while being the one weird girl who always sat alone. But now, she saw it as an incredible nuisance.

So instead of sitting with her admirers, she and Cara sat with Rime and Pawlry, who was revealed to be a friend of Rime's.

The only one who didn't seem to dig their popularity, was Levias, who felt that Pumkin and Cara weren't proper warriors.  And always exclaimed that the duo were off goofing off whenever Pumkin and Cara had to skip class to do quests.

But it was already common knowledge that Gamers needed to do 2 quests a week to keep in the god's good graces and not get blasted to smithereens, so nobody paid Levias's accusations any mind.

"He's a good person really.. he just comes from a rather narrow minded family." Rime had explained. "He was taught that females are inferior in battle to men.. he doesn't think he believes that, but it's a subconscious view he has thanks to his father coming from a very traditionalist community. He can't stand the fact that girls can possibly be in the top 20 candidates for the Class Tournament."

What Rime said was very true. Cara and Pumkin by far, were the only females that were in the top 20 percentile of the class grades in regards to Combat Class, which was taught by Hit. In fact, they were actually part of the top 5 percentile when it came to every subject overall, except chemistry, which Pumkin sucked at.

Easily Pumkin's best subject, was Cooking, since she had a long standing dream of becoming a world class chef and opening her own restaurant (her Ratatouille was to die for). But of course, what she was most popular for besides her looks, was her fighting skill.

Combat class, which taught every aspect of fighting, from various Aegian weapons, to the use of Argeist energy (which wouldn't be taught until various other subjects were mastered.), and even firearms, was a class that Pumkin mastered easily.  Besides being a master of Martial Arts thanks to Vegeta and her natural Game Character's instinct, Kozuki, being a street girl, had mastered the use of a nine millimeter by the time she was eight, and a hunting rifle by the time she was eleven, weapons were child's play.

When she showed such ease at the use of a hunting knife on her first try, Rime remarked that he would definitely not want to meet her in a dark alleyway of any kind. At one point Pumkin wondered how the heck Hit knew about combat regarding solely Aegian things, she then had to remind herself that Hit managed to fight against Goku in the Universe 6 arch purely by learning everything Goku did on the fly.. There was no telling how long Hit had been summoned, and how much he had learned before he took a teaching post at this school.
