Niall’s P.O.V.

I blinked my eyes as we appeared in a new place again. I’m getting sick of this constant moving about, but I don’t get much of a choice. I looked around and realized my dad and Raphael weren’t worth me. I only saw Gabriel in front of me. He was dressed in his golden armor and holding his sword. To say I was worried would be an understatement. I mean why worry with one of the most powerful angels near you. He is only holding his… HOLY SHIT!

“Yes Niall?” Gabriel’s eyes seemed to glow brighter. “You afraid of me? Should be. Time for angel battle training 101.” His voice had power to it and I instantly got into my angelic armor without realizing it.

“First off. I had angel battle training 101 nearly one thousand years ago. Secondly, how did you make me switch between clothes and armor?” I was slightly freaking out over it. You know no biggie. My mind was just exploding from everything that just happened still. Liam is the devil’s son and my friends will be evil unless I can save them.

“I realize you had battle training already. Remember that I was your instructor.” Gabriel replied with slight sass. I huffed and thought about it, but wait.

“You didn’t answer my second question. How did you make me switch?” I demanded which probably was a bad thing, but Gabriel didn’t yell at me. Phew.

“That is for me to know Niall and you to find out when you’re ready.” His voice took a hint of sadness and he looked away from me. His eyes seemed duller than usual and an overwhelming sense of guilt was flooding off of him.

“Gabriel, what’s wrong?” I was starting to get overwhelmed by the guilt. I hate the feeling of any angel being guilty, sad or angry. It causes the world to feel so dull.

“I wish I could tell you Niall.” His face turned to look at me and I saw that his normally bright green emerald eyes weren’t shining. “Let’s move on from this. Training time or your dad will have my wings.” He joked and vanished.

“Uh, Gabe?” I turned around in spot and looked everywhere. I know this is part of the training and suddenly I felt something light touch my shoulder. “AHH!” I shouted in panic. I turned to see Gabe standing there with a smirk on his face.

“Got you. You need to focus Niall. Remember what I taught you so long ago. Focusing and listening. You can hear any sound if you allow your angel ears to listen.” Gabriel’s words were very instructor-like and I rolled my eyes. Just how I remember training, boring, and harsh and wait, he never told me that last part.

“Angel ears?” I questioned looking at his eyes and he went wide-eyed.

“I didn’t say that. You heard nothing.” He waved his hand in front of my face. It reminded me of Star Wars.

“Of course I heard it. You can’t do those Jedi-mind tricks on me.” I wanted to laugh, but Gabriel’s face went from panic-faced to anger.

“Are you insulting me Niall?” Gabriel’s tone was different and suddenly Raphael was next to him.

“Chill Gabe. You’re going to scare the poor boy. He doesn’t realize what insults mean to you. Now if you need to punch something hit me beca—“Raphael didn’t get to finish because Gabriel punched him and Raphael and flew out of view from me.

My eyes went wide and I couldn’t help, but laugh. I just couldn’t grasp the fact of what I just witnessed and I was laughing at the whole thing. It reminded me of so many things from movies and cartoons. I was still laughing incredibly hard when I heard someone clear their throat. I instantly stopped laughing and saw Gabriel standing over me looking down at me. I saw to his right stood Raphael who was rubbing his cheek. I fell over in laughter again before being picked up by a strong grip which stopped my laughing. My eyes fell upon my dad.
