"RUUUUUNNNN!!!" Kevin yelled and sprinted back inside the house. I saw out of the corner of my eye him taking a bunch of the burgers before disappearing from my sight once more. Scott and Mitch turned in the opposite direction and leaped over the fence. I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around mine tense ones and spin me around. I became face to face with Avi and his intense green eyes.
"Kirstin," He never uses my full name... "I'll go to Esther and see if she's alright. I need you to go back inside and hide in the basement. Kirst, will you do that?" I just stared back dumbfounded. He sighed. "I'll be fine, don't worry about me. This will all be over before you know it." He reassured me. Avi started to walk away, but I grabbed his wrist. "I want that body back in one piece, okay?" He just smirked and said, "Yes sir.
He kissed my forehead and spun around, noticing the other three just standing in the middle of the field. What the heck do they think they're doing there? I questioned myself. Avi shook his head and raced off to meet with them.
I spun on my heels and ran back into the house. I picked up Toto and hugged him to my chest protectively. I grabbed whatever supplies I needed and started to head down to the basement before I hear a loud noise emanating from behind.
I spin around just in time to see a large chunk of debris fly through the window and hitting me in the head. I collapsed onto my bed as the world around me faded into black.
