It was a bright beautiful day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing their merry songs, and the chickens were strutting about; digging up the soil in search of food. As I stared out the window, observing the sun's rays which were so wonderfully embracing the green countryside, I remembered a humorous scene from my favorite television show, which depicted a screaming sun rising over the horizon. This brought a chuckle to the back of my throat which I gleefully let out without care.
I did not notice that i had unknowingly woken my boyfriend, who was still asleep from a previous night of passion. I suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around my neck, and a cheek press against my temple.
"Pretty day, isn't it, love?" My lover said in a soft voice.
"Sure is." I replied to him before turning my face to his to share a smile.
