"I love you." I sighed as I embraced my mother. Things were hard. I hadn't been able to spend much time with Vanessa. Of course I had my boys, but all of that was the least of my problems. My mother wasn't doing well. The thought of Vanessa, school, and being there for friends simply added onto the emotions I was dealing with at home. We had money, but money only lasted for a short while. Especially when some of it wasn't even yours to begin with. Furthermore, my mother was still a single mother. It was hard, even if I was the only child.

"I love you more, Justin and I know you love Vanessa; keep her happy and make sure you're happy as well. I just don't want you to do anything stupid." My mother sighed. I simply smiled at her. What I was doing was beyond stupid. I only had an idea of what I was getting myself into and I was halfway prepared. My mother and I were close, but as may approached I couldn't find the right words to tell her that she wouldn't see her baby boy for a while. I didn't want her to worry, although she had every right to.

"I need you to be a child. I have everything under control. Don't you worry." She reassured me with a soft sadden smile. I could see the stress in her eyes and all I wanted to do was take away that pain, even if I couldn't do so realistically.

"Justin, what is this?" She questioned. This was the first time in a long time that I had seen my lovely girlfriend out of school. I asked Ollie for the shop for the night and set it up hours beforehand. The building was lit with fairy lights and petals along the floor. Van's face was scattered along the walls from her polaroid and some from my film. Besides her face, a few of her art pieces were on the wall along with a few studies of hers.

"Photos of you. You're art. You're equivalent to your own pieces." I admitted as I followed her eyes.

"Justin.." Her smile lit up my entire world and her eyes. Man, her eyes. She was lost for words and as she looked up at me, I found myself staring at her in awe.

"I know, I didn't have to do this. I wanted to though." I cooed, placing a soft kiss onto her lips.

I came back home to my mother with a bouquet of flowers in my hand. I just needed my two favorite girls to be genuinely content with life right now. I needed to make sure at least they were happy, so I could find some sort of bliss as well.
