In every generation there is a Chosen One. She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer.
I was just finishing the last touches of my makeup when I heard mom shouting.
"Buffy?" Mom shouted
"I'm up, Mom!" Buffy shouted back
"What about your sister?"
"I'm also awake, mom!" I shouted
I walked out of my room to see Buffy still in her pajamas.
"You just woke up, huh?" I asked
Buffy looked at me sighing.
"Thanks to mom." Buffy said
I chuckled.
"You're sleep better than I do now. I don't sleep so much anymore." I said
Buffy looked at me sadly.
"This is a new place. It's going to get better. You'll get better." Buffy said
"How do you know?" I asked
"Because it has too."
I nodded looking away from her sighing before looking back.
"I hope that you're right. Get up and dressed. We've only got 15 minutes before school." I said
Buffy nodded as I walked out of her room. I walked back into my room and grabbed my book bag. As I turned around, I hit my desk and a picture went on the floor. Grabbing it, I smiled sadly before sitting it straight again. It was a picture of my boyfriend who passed away in Los Angeles. I missed him terribly. I snapped out of it when mom shouted at us to get in the car. Within 5 minutes we were pulling into the school parking lot. Buffy and I got out of the car. Mom looked at us both seriously.
"Have a good time. I know you're going to make friends right away, just think positive." Mom said
"Sure thing, mom." I said
Buffy waved before walking off. I went to follow when mom stopped me.
"And Nevaeh?" Mom said
"What, mom?" I asked
"Try not to get kicked out?"
"I promise."
"Okay."
