"Ahahahaha!" I laughed while holding my stomach.
"Ahahahaha!" he laughed with me throwing his head back. For a moment I just stared at his gorgeous blue eyes and his rich dark brown hair and his soft pink lips . For the first time I realized how good looking he was, something that never has crossed my mind before.
We were both breathing heavily trying to calm ourselves down from laughing.
"You truly are something Sirena," he said while reaching his hand out to me.
Grinning like a maniac I grasped his hand and hosted myself up.
"Thank you." I tried to let go but he tightened his grip. There was an awkward moment of silence of me just staring at our hands that were connected until finally he let go and his hand dropped to his side.
"I think it's about time we return to the pack house." I nod in agreement.
Smirking he says, "I'll beat you to there!" Immediately he shifts, his bones cracking and rearranging themselves, into a wolf with a shiny coat the same color of his hair and with blue eyes that I could recognize a mile away.
"Over my dead body Liam!" I shout excitedly after him. I pictured what I looked like as a wolf and started shifting into a black coated, emerald green eyed wolf wincing only slightly at the mild pain.
I pumped my legs begging them to go faster. Adrenaline coursed through my veins as I jumped over rocks and sticks while also dodging tree branches, kicking up dirt from the forest floor every time my paws lifted from the ground.
Soon the space between our wolves closed in and then increased again but with me in the lead instead.
I looked back at him and gave him a wolfish grin and he copies.
Thunk.
I hear hundreds of wings flapping and chirping noises.
His eyes showed amusement as he caught up to where I was.
My head pounds heavily and I whimper slightly. It's not a pleasant feeling to run head straight into a tree.
Now with concern laced in his eyes he walks up to me and licks and nuzzles my face.
With my legs shaking a bit, I rise up on my paws. Nodding, seeing I'm alright, Liam gives another wolfish grin and dashes off.
A growl rips through my throat as I follow suit. I refuse to let him win.
Soon the iron gate that surrounds the pack house comes in view with Liam, who has already shifted back, at the gate entrance smirking.I glare at him and run into the storage room. Quickly I pull my clothes with my teeth out of a plastic blue bin marked with my name and shift back.
Dressed, I storm out and cross my arms pretending to be mad. "Liam! You cheated!"
"Sirena!" He mocks me. "I'm deeply offended that you're accusing ME of cheating. I would never cheat!" He fake gasps.
I go on my tip toes and try to ruffle his hair, something I use to do when we were younger and at the time, was taller. Now he towers over me by a few inches. "Nice try." He smirks and ruffles my hair. "Ahh! You're going to create knots in my hair!" I cry out loud.
