Those last two days were hell. Just sitting there. Doing nothing but having doctors come in and out seeing if my memory was back. But now I'm the car with Aunt Tammie and I'm going "home".
She parallel park and I look up and see this beautiful house. It's a nice size with flower bed and nice green grass. I guess my mom was a florist. I see you mom dukes. I sigh at my word play. Wait. If it's November why is there grass and flowers and not snow? "Where are we?"
"Your house." she said with a warm smile.
"I meant state. what state are we in?"
"Oh! I'm sorry sweety. We're in Florida."
Makes sense.
"Ready to go in?" I sighed and nodded my head. Aunt Tammie went to unlock the door as I hobbled to the door with my crutches. I am almost at the door when suddenly I hear a male voice yell my so called name.
"DESTINY!" a boy yelled while running towards me. He scooped me up while running into the house, sat on the couch and sat me on his lap in what it felt like 5 seconds.
"Destiny, I've missed you so much." he said while embraces me. Then suddenly trying to kiss me.
I pushed him away. "What are you doing! I don't know you!"
After I said those words I could see that his heart broke. My eyes soften. "I...I'm sorry....I...."
"James sweety..." my aunt cuts me off
"Could you put Destiny down and come over here for a sec?" She forced a smile.
He put me down,looked at me ,my aunt, then me again. He sighed then left. I don't know if they knew but I could still hear as they attempted to whisper.
"Destiny has amnesia. We don't know how long it's gonna last or if it is even gonna wear off."
"So what does this mean for us? That's my girlfriend, my best friend. We've grown up together."
"I'm not sure, but you have to take it slow." He looked at me then back at my aunt.
"I think I'm gonna head home. See you ba.......Destiny."
It was an uncomfortable silence. "So...." I began. "Do you have a husband?"
