Chp 1

Angely's P.O.V

My name is Angely, and I have been going to this god darn school for what seems like forever. Ridgewood High School is supposedly the best high school, but I say otherwise. I only have two really close friends. Their names are Briyanna, and Emily. All three of us have been really close friends since 3rd grade, since we were the only three girls who joined rocket and engineering club. Ever since then, all three of us have been considered the nerds wherever we go. This is the one year, that is my I chance to shine: Senior year. I have been waiting for this day to come my whole life. This is the year scouts come to all the senior's competitions. Everything was going perfectly, that is until I see a basketball hit my science fair project that took me the whole summer to figure out and build. " Woah, that is one pile of weird junk." Said the guy who picked up the basketball. " My name is Matt" He said. All I could do, was stare at my broken science project on the floor in pieces. I looked up at him. " That weird pile of junk, was my science project that took me the whole summer to build. Now it is ruined because of you!" I said angrily. Simon put his hands above his head " Look, I didn't mean to." He said. I shook my head. " Sorry, doesn't fix my broken project on the floor." Simon, let's go" one of his friends called. " Ok" Matt called back. " Sorry" he called one more time before disappearing into the crowd, and not looking back. I looked back down and gathered my broken project. All my hard work, ruined, I thought as I walked towards the door to leave. My one chance to shine, just went down the drain.

Next day at school
As I pulled up to school in my yellow Mini Cooper, I saw that guy Matt who destroyed my science project. I walked right passed him, and went straight to my locker. I didn't realize he followed me, until I heard him right behind me." Hey, I just wanted to apologize for wrecking your project again, " he said. I turned, " ok." I said, and walked away. Emily and Briyanna, caught up with me, right before I walked into my first period. " Why was Matt talking to you?" Emily asked me. " He wanted to apologize to me." " Wait, what?! Matt... the captain of the basketball team, wanted to apologize to you?!" " Yeah, he broke my science project." I said remembering watching my project fall to the ground. "The project,that took you all summer to build?" Briyanna asked me. " Yeah" I replied. " Oh my gosh, I am so sor." Briyanna was interrupted by the bell. They headed off to their different classes. I walked into my class, and sat down in my regular seat. Class was already 10 minutes in, when the door opened, and Simon walked in. "Ahh, Mr. Gonzalez, you have decided to grace us with your presence." Our teacher said. "Well, please take a seat." He instructed Matt . Matt looked around, until his eyes came across me. Of course, I thought. I had to sit in the back, with nobody around me. Just great planning. Matt sauntered over to the chair next to mine, and sat down. " Hey there, so I know you know my name, but I don't know yours." Matt said. I turned, " Why do you wanna know? " I asked. " Well, so if I wanna want to talk to you, I don't have to say hey you." He replied. I rolled my eyes. " It is Angely." I said quietly. As I turned back towards the teacher, I swore, I heard him say, " That is a very unique and beautiful name, just like you." I turned back towards him. "What did you say? I asked. "Nothing." Matt said.
