We Forget to Plan Part of the Heist

(This story is probably going to be totally from my perspective)

Jake: As the lasers blink out the hall is thrown into complete darkness. There's a lot of confusion as people stumble into and over other people in their attempts to make their way through the unlit, but unprotected hall.
"How the fuck did we not realise that when the lasers go off, we lose our light?", mutters Becca, from somewhere in the gloom.
"We only planned for getting through here in light", says Jack, his position easily distinguishable due to his recently dyed, glow-in-the-dark hair. "Guys", I say, " it is official, we are all complete spuds".
"Keep your hands on the wall until we reach the corner", says Lucy confidently, "just don't knock anything of its pedestal, just like we practiced". There are a few muffled yells as toes are trod on on the way to the walls, however the whole of the present Squad makes it to the corner otherwise unscathed. As the last of us stumbles to the corner of the hallway Liam pulls the radio to his mouth and whispers into it, "initiate phase two".
"I forgot what phase two is", replies Will's still muffled voice.
"Bad Will" says Becca, almost inaudibly, "this is why you need to sleep".
"Turn off the motion sensors", calls Shepo from the front of the group. "Right", says Will quickly, "I'm on it". "Hey Jake?" questions Becca, why are you so small?" I turn to her, for the first time in my life with a decent comeback. "Raise your hand Becca", I say craftily, she does so. Then I raise my arm and say "who can reach higher Becca?" A look of half frustration, half WTFDIHTPUWT (why the fuck do I have to put up with this) and points in the direction we just came from.
"You can leave!" She says jokingly. "Detectors are down", calls Will through the radio.
