Sanna's POV

As I was walking down the cold streets of London, I sensed a presence behind me. I kept turning around, but I couldn't see anything. I felt the presence growing nearer and nearer so I started running. I kept running until I could no longer sense the presence. I had been walking around London all day and was exhausted, so I lay down and rested.

Louis's POV

I wasn't supposed to be out at this late hour. Only the Hunters and demons should be out but I needed to clear my head. I kept walking but stopped when I saw someone run into an alley. I sniffed the air and a smoky smell flooded my nostrils. This must be the demons' hideout. I think. It was a club on the east side of town, 'demon country' as it was called. I hadn't even realized I had walked this far!

After a few minutes of mentally arguing with myself about whether I should go check the alley, I went. I slowly crossed the street as to not make my presence known. I knew my scent was strong but I had covered it up with a Hunter jacket so it would be less noticeable. The Hunter leather covers up angels' scents so it's easier to kill the demons. As I approached the club, I could feel the bass in my ears. Those demons do love their parties.

I reached the alley and saw nothing but then I heard it, the slight snoring coming from the far corner of the alley. I slowly walked toward it when I saw her. She looked small from a distance but as I approached her, I saw that she ought to be really strong. She rolled over and opened her eyes slightly. She saw me and jumped up, ready for a fight.

"Sorry, ma'am, I didn't mean to startle you." I say to her, holding my hands up. She squints her eyes at me then sniffs the air.

"Angel," she says, "you're on the wrong side of town. Why?"

I go to reply but she interrupts. "You're not a Hunter. You're too sweet..." She thinks for a second and continues. "Like a Golden Angel."

"What?" I reply. She chuckles.

"Wow," she says, "what do they teach over there if they don't tell you what you are? Silly things. Things against demons. 'All demons are terrible beings.' Am I close?"

She stares at me as soon as she's finished. I'm mesmerized. How much does she know? How does she know it? I have to ask her but nothing comes out.

"Um," is all I can say. She laughs at me.

"Demon got your tongue?" She laughs then takes a step towards me. I take a step back. "What's the matter?"

"I need to go," I say and start to walk away.

"Wait," She grabs my arm and pulls me back. Then she pulls a sharpie out of her pocket and writes something on my arm. "Call me sometime."

She smirks and runs around the corner. I look at my arm. Her number, I think. She gave me her number.

I get back to my sleeping quarters around 2:15 in the morning. I look to see if anyone is awake and quietly shuffle to my bed in the far corner. I sit on my bed and grab my phone. I quickly take my shoes off and text her.
