Yet again, the gang had spent another day in the magic shop.
Willow and Tara had only just restocked the shelves with brand new spell ingredients after a whole day of serving a wave of customers.
Buffy was getting to work with her fighting skills in the training room with Giles watching over her.
After all, a Slayer needed to train with all the supernatural creatures she had to face.
Demons and the like.
Xander sat at a table, looking at the weekly newspaper, taking notes with a pen for future reference.
He always knew that there was bound to be info about murder or strange cases turning up in the paper, and so if he thought it was important he'd note it down.
The bell rang as the door to the shop opened.
Spike strolled in like the rebel he was, hands in pockets, with a look of seriousness about him.
He always had a look of seriousness about him wherever he went.
Wherever he was."So what are we up to today? Any demons we need to bump off?"
Xander didn't look at him.
"I don't like you, Spike, so I wouldn't tell you anyway, I don't even understand why Buffy wants you alive, she wants you for something but she's my best friend and I trust her, so I won't question"
Spike stared at Xander emotionlessly. A smirk brightened his features.
"Bloody simple! The slayer trusts me, Captain Beady-eyes! But if I had my chip out, you, ya ponces and ya little Slayer would be six feet underground by now!"
Xander gasped sarcastically
"Oh! I'm so scared! The blonde, neutered, so-called 'rebel' is going to hurt me!"
That caused Spike to shout."HEY! that's it! I promised the Slayer I wouldn't hurt anyone but if someone tries to say something bad about me...!"
He took a step torwards Xander.
His handsome face changed into vampire mode.
His piercing blue eyes turned beastly and golden and his teeth became long, sharp, pointy fangs that gleamed in the light of the shop and dripped saliva. He uttered a deep growl in his throat and leaped at Xander who screamed like a terrified schoolgirl and fell from his chair onto the hard wooden floorboards.
Spike chased Xander all around the room as if playing a game of cat and mouse.
He hurled insults and bad words at him.Willow watched the two of them from the corner of the shop where she was using her skilled magic to line up jars of Dove Hearts, Chicken Feet and Fire Newt eyeballs on the highest shelf.
She rolled her green eyes and sighed.
"HEY!"
But none of them heard her.
She tried once more.
"HEY! YOU TWO! SPIKE!"They still hadn't heard her.
Spike wouldn't have listened to her anyway.
She wasn't intimidating enough for him. The only person he listened to and was intimidated by was Buffy. She groaned silently
"Only one thing to do...A peace spell"She held her hand out towards Spike with her palm upwards and closed her eyes.
Incunas, Magnificorum, Midas, Comprendium, Vienta, Devunah, Testa.
The Latin words she chanted seemed to make sparks of electricity and light crackle around her, creating a breeze-like energy that made her red hair stand on end.
Sure enough, Spike stopped chasing Xander but he clutched his head in his hands and started groaning in pain.
"Oh! Bloody...."Willow's eyes grew wide with worry and embarrassment when she noticed Spike getting smaller and smaller.
