Black and White

Chapter 1: The Encounter

It was a regular day on the South Coast of California. Whale watchers was in sight. It was a beautiful day to go whale hunting. The day was warm, the breeze felt right, along with the tides not being strong. I got all my gear ready, especially my harpoon. I headed to my group's boat. On board I introduced my self to everyone. There was 6 on deck, not including me. There was Emanuel, Rin, Maggie, Katie, Ariana, and Grace. There were five life jackets so I lended mine to Rin. Jonathan went to visit Miami for summer vacation. He missed out on the greatest opportunity. He'll be coming sometime soon. We finally lifted the anchor. The boat set sail. Emanuel was sea sick, so that wasn't a pleasant sight to see. Anyways, I loved whale hunting, but this time it was quite different. A few minutes later we caught up with the other boats. The motor stopped. We were about 200 meters deep. Everyone got all silent. Grace was the one laughing with Ariana in the background. They were causing a big scene. Emanuel went to shut them up. Finally, peace and quiet. Everyone on boats got there gear set up. Hours passed and still nothing. Some boats left for waisting there time. There was 7 boats, then 6, then 3, then 2, and finally 1. We were all alone. All that wait was worth it. We finally saw an orca long as a bus. It had really sharp colors, black and white. I was ready to throw my harpoon. Suddenly, Maggie came from behind me and scared me to death. I slipped and fell down the sea below. Struggling to swim back up, I kicked my feet as fast as I could and realized I was too deep. I didn't know what to do. I knew it was over, I knew it was my last moments, I knew. Then I felt a kick. Something was swirling around me. I tried reaching for it, and so I did. Ten seconds later I felt me getting pushed. Suddenly I got launched out of the water. I went so high I almost hit the boat. I landed up inside our boat. From then I knew I met my best friend.
