The plane's window is slightly open, although the light that flows through is close to blinding. My attempt to tuck in failed, and it failed hard. Groggily, I turn on my phone and look at the group chat. I don't have Wi-Fi on this plane, but while I boarded, the chat went near wild.

Yuno
Hurry up! :)

Yui
Leave him alone! He shoudnt check his phone while hes boarding! ٩('^')۶

Rayne

Diego
Let me accompany you through the darkest of labyrinthine to lead you to your destination.

Yuno
Nuh-uh. Not today. Or ever,  for that matter.

Diego
Millor un altre dia

I mentally roll my eyes, and feel the unbearable necessity to call them. I want to make a group call. There's no problem with that, only there is. It's money. But I suppose 10 dollars isn't that much to waste to talk to my best friends early.

I stick my credit card out and punch the info into my phone.

When the Wi-Fi kicks in, the CNN tweets kick in and basically everything else. But the CNN tweets first.

The first person I find online is Yoel, and after that, Yuno comes in.

"Yoel, where are you?"

The crackled sound rushes through the cables in my headphones into my eardrum.

"Home! How are you?"

"Nice! I just paid the Wi-Fi, is 10 dollars a lot?"

Yuno's voice brushes the hairs in my cochlea.

"That is a ripoff! What a shame!"

"Meh."

And then, Diego's voice rocks through my auditory nerve.

"Lladregots de la seva puta mare"

And then...

Ariela joined the call.
