Maze Games

Chapter 1: The beginning

I woke up remembering i forgot to do French homework. Immediately I knew it was gonna be a bad day. I got ready. Had my breakfast and headed to school.

When i got there i went to my first class as normal. Half way through everyone was called to the hall. Everyone was confused on why we had to go because we all knew there was nothing coming up. And it was only first years who had to go. Maybe it was a surprise.

I sat beside my friend Jamie. He also didn't know what was happening. One by one each row was led out of the room for about five minutes. When I went in I was a bit nervous as I didn't know what was going on. When I got in there they told me to take a seat. One of them held down my arm as the other injected me with a blue substance. The pain was excruciating. When i got back I sat down next to Jamie again. We both looked nervous.

When everyone was done the principal told us what was going on."All the schools in Ireland are starting a new program called the P.C.P (population control program). Every  1st year student in Ireland had to compete in a brutal death match between every one in there year. The last 50 people to survive in each year will get to live a happy and wealthy life. If no one is killed every hour a loud countdown from ten will begin and at the end of it some random person will die from the substance that you all got injected with. You will all be brought to a gigantic maze where ye will fight. There is supplies all around the maze. Every time someone dies a cannon will go of to signify their death. Every night you will hear the people die via an announcement that will be heard all over the maze. You are aloud to make alliances if you wish. You have five minutes to do so and then you will be brought to the maze. You will have 10 minutes before you can kill someone in the maze. Off ye go".

This was crazy I was thinking. What was happening? did our parents agree to this? All I knew now was that I needed an alliance and fast.
