Coral POV

Yes. A horse. Walking outside, I see my majestic beauty named Saphire. She's a beautiful midnight black horse with a long black and white mane and tail. She has a white spot in the center of her forehead, on top of her left shoulder, and one on top of her right hindquarter. Her muzzle has many colors including brown, white and red, but mainly black. Her dark brown eyes are already open and alert as I walk up to her stall. I take in her shelter's appearance proudly as I remember how long it took me to build. Like my house, it was also made out of dark oak wood, but was half the size. It had three sides to it with a roof, the front section being open with a fence easily accessible to me. I had laid pine straw on the floor in order to make her more comfortable. It was a pretty simple but a comfy home for one of my only companions. Well, the other companion that accompanied me on my long journey here would be my dog Ross. He's a handsome, energetic golden retriever, who loves going hunting for food with me. I carefully remove the small basket located in the front of the stall, making sure to move it delicately. I then grab the small key located in a pouch hanging from around my neck, and unlock the lock on the basket. I open the lid and grab four apples that are carefully wrapped in a thin cloth. I return it to it original position and proceed to unwrap two of them and feed them to the now attentive Saphire. Once finished handing her the apples, I walk around her stall with the two apples in hand to the very back to see my handsome protector. His small shelter is again made out of dark oak wood, and is quite smaller than Saphire's stable. I see him curled up in a little ball of fur, breathing in a steady rhythm that tells me he is sleeping. I shake him awake gently, earning a large yawn in return. He slowly flutters his brown eyes open groggily. Some guard dog I know. He is soon alert to everything around him, and I slowly bend down, unwrap the apple and feed him it. When he finishes eating his apple, he looks up at me with pleading eyes for more food.

"Wow Ross. Not even five minutes after you're awake and you are already begging for food." I say fondly.

He continues staring at me expectantly. He sits there for another minute with the same look, until I break.

"Okay buddy. Let me go get my stuff." I sighed. This made him start running and jumping around me in excitement. I walk back around the stable pausing momentarily to unlatch the gate to Saphire's stable. When it swings open Saphire immediately dashes out of her stable in a flash while I unwrap my apple and take a big bite out of it. Saphire slowly trots around outside her stable before beginning to graze in the grass. I know that neither Saphire nor Ross will run away so I leave them to do what they want do all the time.

I continue walking back to my house after I finished my apple and threw it in the bushes. When I enter the house, I set all four clothes I had used to hold the apples on the table next to my bed, and then proceed to grab my crossbow and bolts. The smooth wood has delicate symbols engraved into it, that reminded me of all the adventures I used to go on. I quickly shake those thoughts out of my head, and head back outside to go hunting with Ross. When I see that he is already waiting for me, we start our decent into the forest. Let the hunt begin.
