Leaves. Leaves always made me happy. They are a mix of beauty, wind, and sunlight. Beauty being how they sit on the trees, seeming to contemplate wether to flee or to stay. Wind being how they dance and frolic and play, the air teasing them in a bantering manner. And finally sunlight because on beautiful afternoons the sun filters through the leaves just right to make their dancing absolutely come alive. Its magical.

I sat on the bus watching out the window and looking out at the trees as we passed them. I'm on the way to school and the sun is pushing out of its bed in the soft fields of cotton. It dies this every day to warm them and dry the dew on the grass and it is really quite beautiful. I sit watching the world go by as I listen to music and drown out the other kids on the bus as they shout and holler about some bull shit that they won't even remember next week. The song changes. I grin as Stereo Heart by Gym Class Hereos begins to play. This song always makes me smile. It has good memories attached to it.We start to approach school. The crappy school where the haters, the lovers, and the fighters go to learn. School is basically a prison where your individuality is wiped out and you are taught to conform. Taught to memorize instead of apply knowledge that we will "defiantly need one day". We all know we won't. But then I remind myself that school isn't all bad,I learned to march and play the euphonium. I guess school isn't that bad. But then I remembered I moved to this new school.
As the bus come to a halting stop, I take one final look at some trees dangling their leaves over the street like a child taunting a dog with a treat, then I stand up, and walk off the bus into Henry Middle School.
