Jynx paced back and forth in front of her bed. She stepped lightly making sure no one could hear any stomping while they trained, as she would rather be doing such a thing as well. Her body and mind kept her awake despite her want for rest. She held her hands behind her back, gripping her left wrist tightly with her right. Her hair nearly tangled itself around her from walking around in a circular pattern. She kept mumbling and grumbling throughout the pacing.

Her students were in the dojo practicing their taijutsu skills. Each one of them were already pretty good by now, but they do need improving if they are going to be shinobi one day.

The quicker Jynx walked the quicker she spoke. "I can't believe it. It's been weeks by now. He hasn't even spoken to me. Or sent me anything if they are alright. He's never this quiet. Mainly any mission out of the village. He could be dead. They all could be. And what if? No. I can't see it happening. He promised me. He promised... He said they would be alright. But what if they aren't? Am I a fool for wanting to know? They all know I watch over them. I always do. I'm sure the Hokage is happy. He knows I watch over him, too. And I'm sure he set it up so I can't see them. Plus, he probably knows what's going on." She became almost paranoid, pacing back and forth, back and forth. She kept her eyes fixated on the ground beneath her. She picked out a piece of wood that she followed continuously walking along.

"Jynx, stop. You're wearing yourself down."

She looked up slightly and brushed her hair behind her ear and made a small blush along side a very unhappy glare. Strange how these two things would work together. But they certainly did. She slowed down a bit before picking up speed again.

The person sitting on her bed's edge sighed and reached out to grab her arm as if to stop her from pacing around anymore. "Stop it. Please. You're making things worse over thinking everything. It will be one week as of tomorrow. I followed them out of the village until they had to travel by boat. Kakashi has this. He's a good Sensei. As are you. That is the only thing you need to focus on currently. I can watch him while you're with your students. You don't have to anymore," the body stood up slowly. They had a hooded black cloak wrapped around them hiding their figure, but the voice was unmistakably male. "I've never liked seeing you get like this. You know they will be fine." The figure paused taking a deep breath, "Dammit, I knew I shouldn't have told you about them being ambushed." He sighed once again and tightened his grip on Jynx's arm. "Listen, you need to relax about this. They should be back in no time, and then you can ask if Sasuke is alright."

"That's not good enough. I need to know now! I don't want to ask. I want to make sure he's more than ok. Kakashi hasn't kept me out of the loop like this in a long while."

"And when you left and went on your own for almost a year? That wasn't fair to him. That he had no clue what happened to you? None of us did." The voice sounded concerned but hushed.

Jynx jerked her arm away and glared more deeply, her eyes nearly turning a deep red. "Like most of the village ever cared. Not any more. Banish the girl who never did anything besides living and breathing in the same air as all the other villagers. Nobody cares anymore anyways." She began breathing hard taking in air as if she couldn't hold composure anymore. She grabbed at her hair and began brushing it with her fingers quickly and uneasily.

"You know that's not true! I do care for you. Kakashi cares for you. The Hokage cares for you! The people who made this place for you cares. Your students care! The orphans especially! Why can't you see that?" He reached out for Jynx in an effort to make physical contact once more.

His words made her weak. Her legs began to quiver causing her whole body to shake as if she was shivering. Quietly she mouthed words but looked down. No sound came from her. She was frozen and her voice stolen. "I... I..."
