After turning in my college application to the principal, I buzzed quickly through my morning classes.

Before I knew it, lunch time was upon us. I walked down the hall with Kayli and Jay to lunch. Zac and Lylah have second lunch while us three have first lunch. With my lunch bag in hand, I sat at our usual spot. Kayli and Jay went through the lunch line and then joined me at the table. As I went through my lunchbox, I pulled out the sandwich Niall made me and the Sprite.

We carried on small conversations and I took bites off my sandwich.

"Um, Carrie? When did you get a hickey?" Jay chuckled, eyeing the love bite in my neck.

I almost choked on my sandwich when she said that. Pulling my hair forward to cover up my neck, I looked around

to make sure nobody heard her.

"Yes! It's from Niall. He gave it to her this morning." Kayli whispered, a huge grin on her face.

I glared at her for a second before pulling out my apple slices.

Shrugging, I decided it was only right to tell Jay. "Yeah. I've been trying to keep it covered with my hair."

Jay raised her eyebrows, basically telling me with her facial expression that it wasn't working. My cheeks tinted a light pink, and I hid them in my hands.

"Carrie's getting embarrassed." Kayli chuckled, poking the hand that covered my right cheek.

Rolling my eyes, I ate a few of my apple slices. I noticed the corner of a yellow piece of folded paper peeking out of my open lunchbox. Scrunching my eyebrows, I pulled out the note and unfolded it. I began reading the little message.

Carrie,

Have a great day, beautiful!

Meet me at the Park at 5:00 pm.

I have a surprise for you.

Love Niall xxx

I grinned like a fool and slid the note into my pocket.

"Carrie's got a love note!" Kayli teased, making sure it was loud enough for everyone to hear.

A few people noticed Kayli's outburst and turned to look, but soon lost interest. One jackass in particular didn't though. Daniel stared at our table angrily from where he sat across the lunchroom. I didn't even have to look to know what he was doing. I could feel his stare like daggers. I shifted uncomfortably, glancing at Kayli. I think she noticed my awkwardness and looked around the cafeteria for the source. Once she saw Daniel, she scowled and turned back to me.

"I can't stand that douche bag." She muttered.

I nodded in agreement and went back to eating my lunch.

"What does the note say anyway?" Kayli asked eventually.

I had food in my mouth so I decided to just let her read it. After pulling it out of my pocket, I handed it to her. Jay leaned in to read it also.

"Aww!" They cried in unison.

I blushed and snatched the note from her earning a chuckle from both of them. I decided to change the subject, and I thought of the question that had been on my mind.

"So Jay. Who are you crushing on?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Why on earth would you think I have a crush on someone?" She asked, shocked.

"Don't play stupid. We know. Harry?" Kayli smirked.

Jay began fidgeting with the edge of the table. It was different to see her like this. Usually she would talk about hot guys so easily, even though we all new that she wouldn't slut around or anything. Her walls were to high for that. But right now she seemed nervous even talking about the subject of liking Harry. We kept staring at her, waiting for an answer.
