First friend

(Jesse McCree pov)

Wow is this guy an omnic? I'm not quite sure.. but if he thinks he can out smart me then he is well wrong!

I began to fire my bullets at the small target in the distance. Each shot hitting the chest area perfectly. I chuckled to myself as I turned to Genji who was watching me carefully. He seemed curious of me, as if he had never used a gun before.

"Nice work Jesse! Now Genji your up!" The boss said with his usual stern voice.

I watched the cyborg step up to the board where he positioned his feet in some weird Japanese like stance. I wasn't full sure if he was Japanese but I didn't really care!

Suddenly he shot three sharp stars across the hall, each one getting a perfect head shot. I raised an eyebrow as I wasn't sure what kind of weapon he was using.

"Well done Genji, shuriken, ey? Should have suspected you to use a traditional Japanese weapon!" Said the boss as he carefully watched genji. It almost felt like Gabe was proud of genji, he never was proud of me!

(Gabriel Reyes pov)

I stared down at the two boys, they now seemed to have a small sense of rivalry between the two. I gave a sharp look at Jesse who quickly faced back at the targets and focused.

I had been 'babysitting' this pathetic cowboy for a while now. He excels in all the practical parts but the theory he needs work on, as well as his attitude. I just hoped I wouldn't have to suffer his annoyance for too much longer....

(Genji pov)

I stared up at Gabriel as he seemed to be in deep thought. Before quickly striking award another set of shuriken straight into the heads of the targets. Jesse kept glancing over to me every time with a frustrated look. I think he was jealous!

The training began to feel like a heated battle as both me and Jesse began to try to out smart each other. Performing trick shots and stunts to try and show off and prove who was better.

Jesse would shoot from under his leg or arm. I would fire my shrunken whilst performing a somersault and back-flips in mid air and land each one.

From behind us Gabriel sighed in frustration as he watched us two act quite childishly. His eyes moved around frantically as he tried to keep up with us both.

"Ok that's enough take a small break! I'm going to go and get a drink!" He said before turning sharply and storming out of the room.

Jesse placed his revolver into his holder before turning to me. I hoped I hadn't caused any tension between us as I didn't want rivalry I just wanted to be nice and make a good impression.

"Ya got a good aim Genji!.. -whistles- whoa is that a sword on your back?" Jesse asked with a cheeky smile.

"Thanks and em yes that's my katana" I said smiling from under my mask. We both sat down at a near by bench as a few men passed us again. Jesse pulled out a cigar and smiled across to me.

"So er are you.. ya know an omnic?" His voice sounded curious and slightly confused as he turned to face me.

"Well actually I'm still part human, when I died by my brothers hand my human body was destroyed, Dr Ziegler saved me and gave me an omnic body" I said openly hoping I wouldn't confuse Jesse too much.

"Wait you died? Wow, and now your here cos y'all wanna put yourself to good use and help others?" He guessed as we both sat together.

"well let's just say I have some family issues that I need to deal with" I said with a serious tone. Jesse looked over to me with his cheerful and handsome face.
