Forgotten

I Sat up in my bed, I had just had a horrible dream, that seemed ...pleasent. One foot after the other, I walked out of my room, still drowzee. Hearing unusual excitement, I rush down the stairs. My whole family, Mom,Dad,Max, Lexi,and Madi, are all jumping around freaking out.
"What's going on?" I say, rubbing my eyes.
"We just won a trip to the Bahamas!" screamed everyone.
My eyes widened. Were they serious?

Like all my family, I was now unable to contain my excitement. I had always dreamed of going to the Bahamas! I loved how beautiful it was. I always thought it would be just a dream, but now, my dream was coming true!

"So where are we going to stay Mom and Dad?" I said.

My mom smiled. "Does Atlantis sound good?"

Apparently, my brother and sisters didn't know this, because as soon as Atlantis came out of my mom's mouth. Their eyes grew as big as mine.

"Are you serious!" exclaimed Madi.

" And guess what, we are going tomorrow!" Said my dad.

Right then and there, my siblings and I all lost it. Question after question about what we will do and how long we will stay kept coming. and coming. and coming. Before we knew it was dinner time. Mom made our favorite meal, Macaroni and Cheese and Chicken Nuggets. But none of us cared. We gobbled down our food so fast that I don't think anyone even got to taste their food before it was gone. The sooner we finished eating, the sooner we went to sleep. The sooner we went to sleep the sooner we would wake up. And once we woke up, we would be taking an airplane to the Bahamas!

We got on the plane and sat down. You could tell we were excited about something by the looks on our faces. We tried to stay quiet,because there were about 5 other people on the plane too. I don't know why or how there was only 5 other people, but there were.

We were now flying over the beautiful ocean. I looked out my window and saw island after island go past. It was so beautiful. Then, I heard noises, it sounded like something was working too hard. I looked around, wondering what the sound could be when.
BOOM!!
Everything when black...

I slowly opened my eyes, my head pounding with a headache. I got up and glanced around. I was on a beach, I looked for something other than water, sand or trees. I saw a motionless object on the shore. I ran towards it, as I got closer, I realized that it was Madi. Then, farther along the shore, I saw 6 more figures coming towards me.

"Mom!!! Dad!!!! Max!!!!!! Lexi!!!!!, Is that you?" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

The figures broke out in a run, coming straight at me...

I sprinted back the way I came, as I came to Madi, I scooped her up and started sprinting again, all in one motion. Madi was slowing me down a lot, I couldn't outrun these..these Things. I veered to my left, rushing into the trees. I jumped over roots,dodged bushes and trees, and kept my eye out for more of those THINGS. I stopped for a breather, hearing the footsteps of those monsters still following me, I decided I would have to hide, and quick.

I rustled through the bushes, trying to find a place that could conceal me well.
Honestly, I could have stopped along time ago and hid in a bush, but now was not the time to take risks. I came to a cave that looked like it went very deep into the ground. I practically dove into the cave, trying to get to an area that was pitch black. I was going by feeling now, and all I felt was the warm heat coming from Madi's body and the cold,wet floor of the cave. I could still see the entrance of the cave, which was what I wanted so I could find my way out. I waited there for hours, waiting for Madi to wake up. Finally, I heard words come from Madi.

"Where are we?" She said, so innocently.

"Shhhh, we're going to be okay." I whisper as convincingly as possible.
