The lights were flashing so fast it made it almost impossible to see, and I couldn't find Sarah anywhere. My head felt like it was floating and I felt like I was about to be sick. I found my way to the kitchen and leaned over the sink. Once I was sure I wasn't going to puke, I stood up and searched for a clean glass in the cabinet.
"Top left." a strong accent directed me. I spun around to see where it came from, but there was no one else in the kitchen with me. I filled the glass with water and took a drink. I must be hearing things. I placed the glass in the sink. Once I had my shit together I decided I should go enjoy the party some more. I couldn't find Sarah anyways, so who would it hurt. I made my way to the living room where the music was loudest. Everyone was dancing on each other and the energy of the whole room was intense. I joined a few other girl in the corner and we danced to the fast hip hop song the DJ was playing. I was starting to get really into it when I felt a hand on my hip. I decided to just go with it, hell it should be fun!
"Feeling better I see." that same accented voice whispered in my ear. I spun around to see who it belonged to. He wasn't too tall, maybe 5'9. He had quiffed clearly dyed blonde hair, as his dark roots were showing. Not in a bad way, it was actually quite handsome. He wore tan chinos and a tight fitting teal sweater. His eyes were icy blue and very intimidating. He smirked, "Sorry dear, I didn't mean to startle you." I recovered myself and went back to dancing with him. "For the record, yes, I am feeling MUCH better." I emphasized, brushing against him. I could feel his breath hot on my neck as we danced. When the pulse of the music changed he spun me around to face him. "Care for another drink?" He asked. I nodded and he led me to where the drinks were. He grabbed himself a cup and passed me one. He led me back to the living room, but to a less crowded, quieter part of the room. "Enjoying yourself this evening?" he asked me.
"I guess. The guys here are kinda lame though." I teased. He faked a hurt expression which made me giggle. "Well.." he inched closer to me, our faces only inches apart. "you didn't seem to mind dancing with this "lame" guy"
"yeah well, maybe you aren't as lame as the others.." I leaned closer to him. Just as he was about to close the small space between us, sirens sounded in the near distance.
"It's the cops! Leg it!" everyone was shouting and running in different directions. The boy ran off opposite the way I did. I have to find Sarah and get out of here.
