My Angel

The mission

(Genji Pov)
I woke up slowly at my usual time, 8:00am expecting to see Dr Ziegler ready at my door. But as usual she wasn't there. I had been worrying about her for a while now.

But she said she was fine and that it would only last a day or two. But that was over a week ago so something wasn't right.

I sat patiently in my room and waited for her late arrival. My room felt still and quiet as I meditated peacefully on top of my bed.

Even though I felt overly worried and concerned for her, I couldn't leave my room without her, I was locked in here and the doctor had a special key card that she used to open the hard metal door. And she wouldn't be happy with me if I tried to escape..

All I could do was wait and hope that she was ok...

(Angela Pov)

I could feel my body drift off into a deep sleep as my mind felt numb and my body fell through what seemed to be a soft mist of grey.

My blue eyes fluttered opened as I searched around me. I was having a dream about the mission I went on. The one before I began to feel this sick.

It was a Saturday and me jack and Gabriel had just set off to our destination. We had been sent to Hollywood in America where Jack was going to be meeting some government officials about Overwatch business.

I had been asked to join to discuss my current project which was Genji. They wanted to know how I made a half human/omnic. I felt a little concerned as I knew the government would try and use my ideas into making soldiers or something inhumane.

We had arrived in the meeting hall where we were spoken to by government officials. Jack spoke for us as he was our commander but they were in charge of him. What ever they said or decided was final so I hoped they wouldn't suggest anything bad towards Genji.

I stood confidently next to Jack and Gabriel as the command spoke to them. I could feel all their eyes locked on me. As if all they wanted was to get to the part where I talked. They watched me closely as Jack continued to answer questions about Blackwatch and the new recruits.

Then it came for Gabriel to speak. They asked him worrying questions about their missions and what risks they came with. Gabriel kept his cool and spoke in his usual dark tone.

"The blackwatch is there to get the dirty work done when others can't" Gabriel answered as the smartly dressed men watched him closely.

"That's good now what I think we all want to talk about is this half human half omnic project your doctor has been working on" the smart man's voice was confident and slightly evil to me as all they're eyes stretched instantly to me.

Their gaze all locked in to me as they watched me with hungry eyes. I hesitated to speak as I was actually very nervous when it came to talking in front of people.

I felt my body tense up as I stood silently. Jack glanced over to me and gave me a quick nudge forward. I glanced up at his face that held a warm and supportive gaze. I took a small breath before I stepped up in front of Jack.

"I'd like to know more about this subject you are working on, what was your name?" The main smartly dressed male asked.

"My name is Dr Angela Ziegler" I said calmly in response before I was sharply cut of.

"Yes yes very nice now about this cyborg, how did you make his body connect so well to his brain?" The man asked cutting me off as if he didn't care about me, only about my work.

"Well I have been working on Genji for a year now and I had to perform many difficult operations, I had to connect all his nerves in his brain with artificial connective wires that link him to his omnic body, with all my designs" I explained as they all listened in closely. I could feel the tension in the room as I felt like I was trapped in a cage where an audience is judging every word I say.
