~Jazmine~

I sit still as Lydia does my hair. She squeezes my shoulder once she finishes and leaves the room. I put on slightly more makeup than usual, but not like I do when I'm Selene, and look in the mirror at my reflection. I shake my head before getting dressed. I put on a pair of black skinny jeans and a black shirt. I slide on my boots and leather jacket before walking downstairs.

Clinically and Unemotionally.

I straighten my figure and hold my head high. I grab my bow and the arrow before walking out to one of the Suburbans and getting in the back seat. Lydia climbs in beside me and holds my hand. I take a deep breath and keep a blank expression. All of the vehicles begin moving and I try to push every thought to the back of my head. Today it's official.

Devonté deserves a proper burial, so a proper burial he will get. Most hunters are simply buried with family, but he wasn't just a hunter, he was so much more than that. Warriors are laid at sea and a single burning arrow is shot at their casket by their parabatai. He was more than just a warrior, he was closer than a brother, he was strong, loyal, brave, he didn't let fear get in the way. He went about everything as he should, he knew when to use his emotions, but he also knew when it was time to hide them. Devonté was everything a hunter is and more. Devonté wasn't just family, he wasn't just my second in command, he was my parabatai.

I get out of the vehicle and stand beside Matthew. He holds my hand as he does Danielle and we stand as they unload Devonté. I force the tears back as they set him down at shore. Danielle sets a stuffed bear, which was his when he was young, in the casket. Matthew places his bow and quiver with him. I take a shaky deep breath before laying his 'graduation' bullet in the box in his hands. After everyone says their final goodbyes, they close the casket and push it out onto the water. I light the arrow and draw back the bow with tears in my eyes. I aim the arrow precisely and release the arrow into the air. Everything catches fire as it continues to float away. I fire a signal arrow and then put the bow down. I stand silent and watch as the burning box floats away. A single tear slides down my cheek and I slightly hang my head. A hand lands on my shoulder and I don't brush it away. I take a deep breath and straighten my form.

Ask me not to leave you, or to return from
following you. For where you go, I will go.
Where you lodge, I will lodge.
Your people shall be my people and your God,
my God. Where you die, I will die and there will I be buried. May the Lord do so to me,
and even more, If anything but death,
part you from me

So guys, this is a short chapter but you deserve an update. This is also a sad chapter. But you can also make it a happy chapter if you think about it in the right way.

Inner me is screaming "HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU MAKE THIS HAPPY!!!!"

There is a way. I know there is, you just have to find it.

Thats all that I really have to say for now. Other than updates are going to be slower because the device I write on broke so it's harder for me to get to write for you guys.

Sorry about any inconvenience but that's how it's going to be for a while.
