Chapter 1

"🎶Your all that matters to meeee, oh oh🎶"

"Ugh" I groaned as I turned around turning off my alarm clock.

It's 6:30 AM in North Carolina where I live and I have to get ready for yet another day of school also known as hell, but it shouldn't be all that bad because it's Friday which is the last day of the school week and I get to leave before lunch to get on plane to go to Nashville with my best friend, Ashley, for magcon for 3 days and meet some of my favorite people like Shawn Mendes, Nash Grier, and don't even get me started with the most perfect and my favorite person in the entire world, Carter Reynolds. This should be a pretty sick weekend since my mom is finally allowing to be a responsible young adult in an entirely different state with my best friend.

Before I leave I should probably finishing packing, get ready for school, and quickly scribble answers on to my homework before I hand it in. Ashley takes me to school every morning because she lives down the street and her grandmas drives us so I always feel bad when they honk the horn and I'm not outside yet.

**********

"HOOONNKK"

"Bye Dad!" I screamed down the stairs.
"Bye Kyra! Bye Lena!" I yelled to my sisters as I rushed out the door.
"You suck and you have no friends." Kara yells at me.
"Then what's Ashley to me?" I yell back.
"An acquaintance, a lover, I don't know you probably pay her to hang with you though." She says trying to convince herself what she's saying makes sense.
"Sure. Well you're a loser Kara. Bye Lena I love you." I say as I run down the stairs.
"Whatever." Kara screams through the window.

Believe it or not Kara's only 8 and Lena's 5. Kara and I go through the same argument every morning and I'm the only to ever get in trouble. Maybe its because I'm the oldest, but I also have my half brother Zane who's in his mid-twenties and lives with his girlfriend.

"Goodmorning!" I say to both Ashley and her grandmother.
"Hey Jess, you excited for magcon this weekend?" Ashley says excitedly.
"Hell yeah, of course I am, but I'm actually really nervous, what if I make a complete fool out of myself to Carter, oh my god I don't think I can do this."

You don't understand Carter isn't just another guy at my school. Carter is just-just-perfect. The way he takes off his SnapBack to fix his straight black hair and then places it perfectly back onto his head. While the guys in our school are immature players.

"Yeah, I guess so." I say to ashley to end the conversation till we get to school.
