Hello, my name is Lila. I'm sixteen and I think I'm going to die today. I know I sound crazy or I'm an overacting teen, but let me explain. The world I live in you are born knowing the death dates of anyone you encounter. Even though you know everyone else's death dates, you don't know your own. I don't know how, when, or where this thing stared, all I know is everyone has it. It's weird I know, I barely understand it too.

Its been hard growing up with this, to find out your parents are going to die when you're fourteen, when you make a new friend to find they are going to die in six months, yeah it sucks. I guess its not as hard when they do die I guess. You knew they were going to die that day so you had time to prepare yourself for that moment. Its still awful though. That's why people are so kind to each other on their death date. When it came closer to a death date you were kind, helpful, and most people gave gifts. That's how everyone is acting towards me today.

I'm the weird-quiet kid in the back, got one group of friends, and one best friend. So yeah I'm not Miss Popular or anything like that. The only way I'm acknowledged to anyone other than my friends is when the teacher calls roll, so when you wakeup to your favorite food, gifts, compliments, and hugs; I knew something was up.

I'm in second period and people won't leave me alone! For hell sakes can't you leave me to die in peace! Even the teachers won't leave me alone. Every teacher I pass gives me my favorite drink and snack. At least I know I'll die surrounded by things I love most, food. But still its getting really annoying. I haven't even got the good part either! I was going to ask my best friend, Ava, if my thoughts were actually true, but she wasn't even here today. I'm most indefinitely going to die today and I don't even get to SEE my friend. This is just peachy.

My day continued the same as before... yep I'm going to die. GOODBYE WORLD, GOODBYE FRIENDS! I WILL MISS SOME OF YOU! The final bell rang and I started to make my way home. I decided to try and call Ava on my way home. I pulled out my phone and called Ava. She didn't answer so as I was crossing the street I stared to leave her a voice mail. "Hey Av, this is Lila, I was just calling to see where you were to..." As I went to finish my sentence I heard a long pound honk and the sky went black.
