Book 2: The Doll

Book II

There was a little girl who was very intelligent in class, she had always wanted a doll for Christmas. Her mother secretly bought the doll for her and kept it until Christmas, without anyone else knowing about it. When Christmas Eve came, her mother gave her the doll as a present, when the girl opened it, she was so happy that she hugged both of her parents near the fireplace. She would pretend to comb her doll's hair and to talk to it everyday, inside her dull room, that was once a lively place filled with her joy. A few weeks later, she started to cut classes and isolate herself in her room, her parents were worried about her so the father approached her gently, but without hesitation, she bit her father's finger off. His finger started to bleed uncontrollably and when he was helpless, she used her doll's hard head to hit him until he's knocked out. The mother was afraid so she ran away as far as she could, she never came back there again. She tried to report it to the police but they did not believe her so she was sent to the mental hospital. So the little girl continued to take care of her doll for the rest of her life.
