I watched Elizabeth still crouched over the stone. I began to wonder, where might my mother be. I didn't want to be rude and interrupt her time with her father so I placed a hand on her back. She looked up at me and smiled widely.

" I'll show you were she is," Elizabeth started. "you know. Your mom.."

I just nodded in response.

I held out and hand pulling her to her feet and she headed to the right around 2 feet, upwards twice, carefully not to step on the stones, and then brushed her hand over the gravestone.

I crouched over the stone as Elizabeth did her father, suddenly feeling warmth as I touched the ground. A single rose lied wilting near the stone.

"I miss you so much," I whispered " I never go a day without thinking about you. I'm going to make you so proud."

I stared up at Elizabeth and had split contact before returning my attention back to my mom. This was the closest I had been near her since a while. Even being near where she was buried was good enough for me.

I touched the ground one last time before standing up and brushing my pants off.

I felt arms grab me in for a quick hug and then go away quickly.

" You ready?" Elizabeth asked.

Glancing back at the stone I nodded once and followed her back into the car.

*************

The radio was off and the car was silent. Heading down the highway I cracked the window and listened to the night winds sounds. Gazing out of my window I saw the farm lands. Hoping to find something a little more interesting I looked through Elizabeth's window.

I felt my blood run cold when I saw a man in a semi. Dozing off!

"Elizabeth look a-"

I was stopped mid sentence as the semi driver fell asleep and crashed side ways into the car. I heard the piercing screams of Elizabeth, but found my self unable to speak and in total shock. The car rollled around and around. My whole body ached and with every spin the pain got worse. Broken glass shattered and was cutting my face, my head banging against the window. I hadn't noticed my eyes were sealed tight. I tired to open them to see Elizabeth but everything was a blur. We continued to roll until we had went into what I thought to be a ditch. My vision went dark and I felt myself go into a deep sleep.

**********

" Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep." I heard the steady sound of a machine.

I awoke in a white room and blinked rapidly to gain my vision. I tried to move but it hurt too much. A cast was on one of my arms, legs, and I had a neck brace. I lifted my hand to force myself out of the bed I was in but found my arms hooked up to several cords.

"Hello, Dear!" A voice appeared scaring me. My heart raced quickly.

I had no longer cared where I was at the moment, I just needed to know where my sister was.

" Where is she?" I questioned.

The woman just stared at me.

"Where is Elizabeth!" I shouted using what power I had.

" You two young ladies were in a terrible accident. Elizabeth was in critical condition and she is in very bad shape." The woman answered.

"Let me see her." I demanded.

"Dear, I don't think you want I felt my heart sink. I just hoped that I hadn't lost her. I forced myself to hold in my tears.

" She went into a comma, right now you ......"

Everything else that nurse had said didn't matter. I was just glad she was alive. I was going to make sure I saw her. No matter what the nurse said. She is my family. I wont let her go.
