"Ellie ellie ellie" Bella rushed as I walked into the office swinging an arm around me making me walk faster
"I showed the script to some contacts, I assume you know who Wes Ball is right?"
"Yes, Of course he's one of the companies biggest contacts why?"
"I showed him your script and he adores it"
she's rushed out as she pulled outside the meeting room
"Oh my god, Bella, this is incredible, thank you"
"Yes yes, this all very exciting, inside that meeting room right now is Wes and few other people who want to talk about the script with you"
my eyes widened at her, i was paralysed with awe
"w-what? no I can't, I haven't prepared anything, tell them to come back tomorrow I can't"
"Don't be silly Ellie you can do this, you've been waiting for an opportunity since you started working here"
I took a deep breathe and pulled on my shirt to rid of any crinkles and wrinkles that formed on the walk here
I nodded
"I'm ready"
Bella opened the door and I was met with Thomas, Thomas? Why was he here?
My heart quickened and my breathing hitched in my throat, my hands clenched to stop from shaking
"told you I'd see you around, love" he winked
I couldn't do anything but give him a small smile from the anxiousness that was eating me alive.
"Wes, Wes Ball" a skinny man stretched out his hand
I took his hand hoping to god it wasn't clammy or sweaty.
"Ellie, Ellie Rose" I shook his hand I gave him the best smile I could
"Take a seat Ms Rose" he offered me a seat opposite Thomas
I looked up to see him already looking at me intensely, but didn't look away. This made my heart twist and turn like New York's roads.
"Ellie, I'm very impressed with your script, I'd love to see more of your work, do you have any with you?" Wes inquired
"I actually don't I'm really sorry, if I knew you were coming I would've but-"
"Don't worry it's okay, maybe some other time?"
"Yes yes of course"

The meeting went on with Wes asking questions on where I would have the movie set and things like that, Wes said he had a few actors in mind of who could be in the film.
There would be small moments where I would take a quick glance at Thomas taking note of what he was wearing and his features.
Every now and then I would feel the light tap or nudge of his foot against mine which made me look at my lap to hide the light pink that had risen to my cheeks

The meeting ended and a yawn escaped my lips
"Keeping you up?" Thomas smirked as we both walked out of the meeting room
Still too anxious to speak to him, I gave him one of my ever occurring smiles and shrugged, making my hair fall over my shoulder. Thomas gave out a light but deep chuckle
"Tom Ford Orchid Soleil and Marlboro cigarettes, great combination" He noted
Feeling myself getting braver I questioned him
"What?"
"That's what you smell like"
"Right"
"You smoke" He accused
"So do you"
"getting a bit more confident are we?"
I went back to shrugging, and just shrugged my shoulders at his comment
"See you in a couple of days Ellie" Wes waved
"Yeah see you Wes" I smiled
"Come on Thomas" Wes beckoned Thomas with him
"Until next time Ms Rose" he patted my shoulder and left a light kiss on my cheek pausing for a few seconds
I watched him leave, I touched the place where he left the kiss and shut my eyes

I leant against the counter in my kitchen with my steaming tea in my hand, blowing on it watching all the steam whirl around, exactly like my mind that whirled around from all the events from today.
