I walked through the corridors of my new life.
Today is the day my character will be defined. My first day at my new school, Whitmore High.
I noticed a few people whispering about me while others just stared at me like I was a new species.
"Hi!" A blonde girl in a chearleader costume squeaked startling me in the process.
"Hey" I politely replied.
I was not in the mood to be picked on by the cliché 'jocks and cheerleaders'.
"So, you're the new girl?"
My belly churned. I had a bad feeling about this.
"Um y-yeah..." I stuttered
"What's your name?"
"Erin, and y-yours?" I sent her a friendly smile
"Payton, Payton Rivers. I'm the head cheerleader here and the leader of the school council" she politely smiled back
Just then a handsome boy, ruffled hair and sparkling blue eyes, wrapped his arms around Payton practically claiming her.
"Hey Jess!" She squealed
"Jess isn't that a girls name?" I thought to myself silently laughing about it.
"Hey P, um hi" he awkwardly grinned.
"Hi" I quietly giggled to myself as i thought of the contrast between him and his nickname.
"Whats funny."
He intensely stared at me not once removing his eyes from me.
Jess glared at me like he knew i was laughing at his nickname.
"oh nothing..." I said with a hint of sarcasm.
"Babe... this is Erin um?"
"Erin Cooper" I quickly replied
"Erin this is my boyfriend Jesse Sanders" Payton squeaked.
Jesse Sanders.
That name sounds familiar...
