Pagpasok ko ng office room ko nagulat ako sa itsura ng kaibigan ko. Tsk halatang kanina pa nagpipigil ng iyak, tumingin ako sa watch ko.

“Busy ka ba Sophie?” sabay hikbi niya.
“May meeting lang ako after 10 minutes but after that pwede na. Boyfriend mo nanaman?”
“Sophie, paano ka nabubuhay ng walang lalaki sa tabi mo?” biglang tanong niya.
“I’m used to it and alam kong magkaiba tayo ng case so don’t bother following my path.”
“Sophie, parang ayoko na magmahal.” Naluluha na siya ng mga sandaling ito.
Tahimik lang akong nakikinig sa kanya.

Pagpasok ko, nandoon na lahat at hinihintay na lang ako.

“How’s your date hija?” tanong sa akin ni Dad pero mahina lang para di marinig ng iba.
“Let’s talk about that later at home Dad.” Sagot ko sa kanya.
After madiscuss ang proposal ng strategic department, pinag-usapan na kung tatanggapin ba ang proposal.
“Well, I don’t see any problem to your proposal Mr. Guchuico, so I agreed to it.”
“Madame President, you agreed to it? Don’t you reread his proposal?” sabi ng isang board member.
“I’ve already studied his proposal and I don’t see any problems if we will accept it.”
“The proposal has many holes and the competitors could easily find a defense for that.”
“With all due respect Mr. Dela Rea, can you give me some of that holes you are talking about? Well, all of us agreed to Mr. Guchuico’s proposal except you.”
Natigilan siya at nag-isip. Para sa akin kasi, ok naman ang proposal at feeling ko it will be a success kaya hindi ko magets ang utak ng isa sa board members ko at tinututulan ito.
