My Angel

It had been some time since I had left Angela in the hands of Ana. She had been looking after her whilst I was out on my mission, Ana told me that Angela's status was getting better.

I hadn't really met Ana Amari before, she seemed kind and caring just like Angela. But Angela was different she was special to me, I cared a lot for her and here she almost died! And I did nothing to help!

Later on after my mission I set off to check on Angela's progress. On the way I spotted Jack and Gabriel having a heated argument. I could tell it had gotten bad because they both stared at one another with furious eyes as if they wanted to fight one another.

I reached the medical centre where Angela was. As I entered I found myself greeted by her warm and happy face as she sat up in her bed. She was getting better!

I rushed happily over to her with a smile on my face. I hugged her tightly as she stretched her arms softly around me.

"Its good to see you Genji!" She said as her warm face lay pressed against my metal shoulder.

"You too Dr Ziegler!" I said as I released my tight hug.

Ana talked to Angela for a moment as she explained a few things she had found out. She said that she wasn't quite sure what was in Angela's system an what ever it was it had absorbed itself into her blood stream but it didn't seem to be causing her any harm so she was free to go.

"Thank you for all your help Ana!" Angela thanked before heading outside with me at her side.

She seemed better now, her face was back to its usual brightness and happy look. Her crystal blue eyes seemed to be glowing again and her voice had fully recovered.

We returned to our usual spot where we liked to sit. At the side of the base facing the large and magnificent view.

We sat down together as the distant view brought a smile to Angela's face. She breathed in slowly as she took in the fresh air. It seems beautiful again as she had become fully relaxed.

"Genji thank you for coming to get me" she said as she turned softly to face me.

"Ana told me you smashed a window, but if it wasn't for you going to ask for help I might not have made it" she said with a happy and thankfully tone.

"I'd do anything to protect you Dr Ziegler, your the only person I've ever really cared about... and to lose you!.. I.. I just couldn't bare the thought of being without you!" I said feeling honest but still sad.

Angela turned to slowly look at me her gaze felt warm and soft. She lent in close to me and placed her hand carefully on mine.

"I understand Genji, I care about you a lot and I'd hate to see anything bad happen to you as well" she said as she remained a lips distance apart.

There was a strange silence between us as we drew closer to each other. I could feel a weird sensation building up inside me. Was it love? Did she love me?

The moment seemed perfect as the nights moon shone down on us both. It's gaze reflecting off of my shining armour.

"Angela!" A loud voice called breaking our loving moment. It was the commander again. Angel pulled quickly away from me as she turned to face Jack.

"Yes Jack?" She asked as she slowly stood up. Jack rushed up to her and gave her a warm hug. He seemed overly happy that she was ok.

I remained seated on the ground as I felt like Jack had rudely interrupted a beautiful moment.

"It's ok Jack I'm fine now, my healing is back to normal again" she said with a happy smile as Jack held her by the hips before letting go of her.

I felt a sudden sense of jealousy rage though me but I quickly brushed it off.

"I talked to Gabriel and he claims he put you to bed that night and nothing else, I want to trust him but I got this feeling like I can't!" Jack explained with a slight frustration.

"It's ok Jack you know Gabe very well and you know for sure that he would never do anything like that on purpose!" Angela stated as they stood together. I watched them closely as they chatted between each other.

I didn't know Gabriel that well to blame him for all this as he seemed like a honest and nice guy. He might have been a bit strict and edgy at times but that doesn't make him the villain here.

Soon after this event me and Angela continued my training. The government contacted  Angela multiple times about a proposition for work or something.

Angela wouldn't let me read the letters she got it tell me anything about them. She said it was classified information and that she couldn't tell anyone. I accepted her reason and we continued with our work.

A coupe missions passed and I remained at peak performance levels. Passing every mission with flying colors. But my next mission would be different... It was at the Shimada castle, where ..I grew up...
