His deep blue eyes stared back at my tear stained face, searching for any sign of guilt. Anything he could use against me. I restrained from taking a shaky breath, and narrowed my swollen eyes. Lifting himself off of his chair, he stood and began pacing back and forth around the room. After a few long minutes he cleared his throat and turned to look at me.
"Please excuse me for one moment." He said politely, motioning to the door. I nodded and he walked out, closing it firmly behind him. I sighed. My mom would kill me if the charges against me wouldn't be lifted.
A few moments earlier...
Setting my purse down on the floor, I sat down on the chair facing a large wooden desk. Across from me sat a man, a handsome one I might add, holding a pen and tapping it gently against his chin. Once I was settled he took a deep breath and shook my hand.
"Hi I'm Logan and I will be asking you a few questions about a bank robbery.
After a few heated minutes of personal questions and accusations, Logan left the room to discuss something with another police officer.
What would they do to me? What if they chain me up in a dungeon and let me rot to death? Or maybe they'll use torture machines?
Am I going to jail? My mother would KILL me if she found out.
Do they think I'm-- guilty?
My thoughts came to an abrupt stop when I heard the door open and Lucas walked in with another official looking man. Their faces had "you're in trouble" written all over them. I gulped. They sat down right across from me and gave each other a look. They turned to look at me and the older man took a deep breath.
"We have decided to release you from all charges. We have no proof you were behind the crime. If anything comes up, we will let you know. For now, you are free to go." He said almost robotically. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and jumped up to leave. I walked out of the conference room and toward the world.
Just as I was about to walk out the front door a hand closed around my wrist and turned me back around. I gasped. Those familiar blue eyes stared back at mine.
"Hey," he said, uncomfortably rubbing the back of his neck. "I know we got off to a bad start since, you are one of the suspects for my case, but maybe we could get coffee some time?" He asked.
For a split second, I actually considered it. For one second I wanted to say yes. I wanted to go out with a hot cop. But then reality came crashing down, hard. He's a cop, I'm one of his suspects. He thinks I'm guilty for robbing the bank. And he wants to go on a date?
It just didn't add up. Actually, it made perfect sense. He wanted to find something about me that could prove I did it, by getting close to me.
He must have noticed how deep in thought I was because he looked worried.
"I'm not trying to find more information about you. I promise. Just one date?" He asked.
"I'm really sorry but I have a lot going on right now. I don't think I can." Plus, I don't trust you, I almost added. But I kept my mouth closed and turned on my heel, walking out the door.

This is my VERY FIRST book here on Wattpad so please give me as much feedback as possible! I always want to make my writing as good as it possibly can be so I welcome new ideas and constructive criticism. Also, let me know if there are any grammatical errors. I know that a lot of writers here don't want people to give them feedback but I am not one of them. So please share your thoughts. Try to say it as nicely as possible though because I am a new writer so it might not be the best you have read on here.
