I stop where I stood in his doorway, and quickly drag my eyes from Gunner's torso and stare out the window. As I stare out the window, I see the inside of my room.
Crap, his room is across from mine...
I move my eyes from the window to Gunner. I scan my eyes over his torso.
I feel the tips of my ears turning red... Unlike most girls, my face doesn't turn red, my ears do... It doesn't help that I have a pixie cut...
Gunner clears his throat, shaking me from my thoughts. I look back up to his face and see he's smirking. I narrow my eyes and cross my arms.
"Fancy seeing you here, nerd." He says, making me want to slap that smirk right off his face. I roll my eyes.
"I'm not a nerd, jerk. Anyhoo, I've gotta go."
I turn back around and as I'm going downstairs I hear him yell,"See ya later, nerd."
I bid Amy goodbye and run over to the new neighbors on the left. I knock on the door and a beautiful woman with caramel colored hair and also familiar blue-green eyes. I see my dad behind her.
"Hi, I'm Lily. My kids and I just moved. " She says, cheerfully.
"Hi, I'm Teagan Lewis. I see you've met my dad already. " I glance over she shoulder with an eyebrow raised at him.
"Yep. Come on in... You look familiar... " She says, looking like she's trying to figure out why I look familiar.
"Hey, mom--!" I hear a teenage boy yelling as he runs down the stairs and stops when he sees me.
I wave."Hiya, Lars."
"Teagan Lewis. Awesome, we're neighbors!" He says, getting to the bottom of the stairs.
"Yep. Great to see you, by the way." I say, as he pulls me into his bro hug/handshake.
His eyes glint."Likewise." I hear my dad clear his throat.
"You guys know each other?" he asks, while Lily raises an eyebrow.
"We were partners for a project freshmen year." Lars answers for me. Lily's eyes brighten as if she's just realized something.
"That's why you look familiar..." Her voice trailing. My dad clears his throat.
"We should get going. See you later, Lily." He says. I nod and wave at them and we leave their house.

I twirl my spaghetti around my fork and look over at my dad.
"So... What do you think of the new neighbors?" I ask, casually.
"Two teenage boys... great..." he jokes, nudging me.
"Yeah, no. Lars is like a brother and Gunner is annoying, so no thanks. " I jokingly told him. He shakes his head.
"I don't know... something might change your mind about this Gunner kid. "He says, knowingly. I raise an eyebrow and shake my head.
"I don't know, dad... I thinks it's a good idea for me to stay away from boys like him... look what happened with Tony..." I clear my throat and shake my head.
"You never know, hun... he might be different..." He nudges his shoulder with mine since we're sitting next to each other at the breakfast bar. He gives me a small smile.
"Alright, dad." I look up at him, not believing what hes saying. He reaches a hand up and ruffles my hair. Smiling, I move my hair from my eyes.
I finish eating and help Dad with cleaning the kitchen before going up to my room. I walk into my room and go to my closet to grab some clothes to wear to bed. I'm just about to pull my shirt over my head when I see something out of the corner of my eye. I turn my head and see Gunner. And he's not alone. My eyes widen as I watch Gunner make out with some chick and he pushes her onto his bed and climbs on top of her. I sprint across my room and shut my curtains before grabbing my clothes and changing in the bathroom.
Dear God, I did not need those images...
I walk back into my room and grab my laptop to Skype Flynn. I lean against the headboard of my bed and wait for her to pick up.
"Heya, Teggie." I hear Flynn's voice.
"Hiya, Fynnipoo. How's ya been?" I ask.
She shrugs. "Meh. Same old... I miss you... But I have some good news."
I raise an eyebrow, telling her to go on." And what's that?"
"I may or may not be coming home and be going to school with you..."
I squeal. "Mom is actually gonna let you come home?"
She nods." Yep. She thinks I should spend my senior year with my sister and I agree." I squeal some more.
"That's amazing!" If you haven't caught on, Flynn is my sister.
Our conversation is soon cut short of a loud moan.
I cringe. "Uh... Tea... Who and what was that?" Flynn says, eyebrows raised and arms crossed.
"New neighbors..." I grumble.
"Oooo... Really? Is there a guy across your room?" she asks, wiggling her eyebrows. I gag.
"Yep, unfortunately..."
"Oooo... Who is it?" she asks, excitedly.
"Someone that moved here after you left, Flynn." I give her a sad smile.
"Well, what's his name? Is he a boy-next-door, jock, bad boy, goth, emo, what is he?" she fires at me.
"One, his name is Gunner Wilder and two, he's a," I pause for dramatic effect and shudder in mock disgust." a bad boy." I make a face afterwards.
"Yummy. I like me a bad boy..." I roll my eyes at her response.
"Hey, Flynn, ya got some drool right here." I point to the corner of my mouth. She wipes at it and glares at me.
"Butt-sniffing weasel..." she grumbles, using an old insult she used as a small child.
"You love me." I smile at my sister. She sighs.
"That I do..." she shakes her head. During a moment of silence, I hear our mother yell for her.
She sighs again. "I'll talk to you later, Tea. Love and miss you. Goodnight." She kisses her fingers and press it to her lap top screen. I do the same.
"Goodnight, Flynn." I give her a sad smile as she ends the call. I sigh and close my lap top. Suddenly, I feel restless. I grab my phone and call my cousin Bo.
"Hey, do you mind meeting me at the gym? I need to get rid of this restlessness. "
"Sure. " he replied. I grab some work out clothes and change.
Fifteen minutes later we're at the gym and he's holding the padded hand target gloves for me to punch and kick.
"Come on, Teegan! Show me what you're made of." He coaches me. I jab at him and then throw a right hook. We keep going til he lowers his hands.
"Wanna work on grappling or are you tired now?" He asks, taking the gloves off.
"I think I'm good. Thanks, Bo." He ruffles my hair.
"No problem, rugrat." I roll my eyes.
We walk out of the gym and leave to go to our separate cars.
I get in the car quickly and drive home in a daze.
"I'm home."I call out to my dad.
"Hey, sissy. Going to bed?" He asks as he walks out of the living room. I nod. I give him a hug before going upstairs.
I change into an old shirt of my dad's and plop myself onto my bed and drift off to sleep.
