chapter 2

The next day Rika and I were at school and I saw a dark shadow as soon as I could I alerted Rika so she would be aware of the incoming danger that awaited us. The shadow slowly inched towards us I quickly got out my staff and as it transformed, so I could attack with it quickly the shadow attacked Rika the impact hammered her into the wall but to Fred's relief Rika was not hurt "Are you okay Rika?" Fred shouted as loud as his lungs would allow him to. Rika stood up slowly and said "I'm fine thank you so much Fred!" her voice hoarse and weak but she was unscarred. However, the monster was still lurking around so Fred sprinted towards it and hammered his fire staff into the dark, black flesh of the monster. Seconds later the monster was finished and all that lay there was stones that, gleamed in the sunlight they shone so much that it blinded Rika and I picked up the stones and put them in my pocket and got on with my day with Rika by my side ready to help me when I needed it of course I would do it for her she is my friend after all.

The following day when Rika and I went to school. While they were going to class a black figure appeared then disappeared it was like I was seeing things I was not sure whether or not I was seeing things. At the time so much had happened in the last few days so I couldn't tell. Yes I was used to the dark but not in a "safe" place like a school. I had to try and get to the bottom of this! However before I could do that. I had to deal with those dark figures in the distance which, as I got closer they seemed to multiply, with my fire staff at the ready which was placed by my side as I approached, the monsters slowly started to notice me. It just so happened I had a green crystal in my pocket so, I used it and in doing so it sprung to life and I used it as a shield that made it imposable to be hurt. once it stopped I jabbed the monsters with my fire staff. somehow a creature evaded it and punched me in the back which sent me flying into the nearest wall. I landed with a thud and everything was black. I must have woken up some while later because I remember being shaken by Rika I also remember her saying "wake up Fred wake up!" after that I saw a fire staff, gleaming in the front, plunged into the wall in front of me. "huh who did  that how did that get there " I said confused. "I used my staff to kill the monsters to save you! "said Rika happily.
