Maps play a big role in world building, because they help flesh out exactly where different places are in relation to each other.
So, obviously, I needed a map. When I started this story two years ago, (fun fact, it was going to be a comic at first, and I even drew out and wrote a whole lot of pages) the first thing I did was draw a map!
It's changed quite a bit (at one point there were places called the Wall of Mermaids and the Isle of Penguins) but I really like how it turned out!
