The House on Mechanic

Every once in a while we get a new neighbor. Most of the families consist of a mother, a father, a son or two and a baby. But this time.... The family had a daughter.

Chapter One

I watched from my bedroom window as the movers began transferring the furniture. A tall dark-skinned man with a bald head, stepped out of the drivers side of the truck. Behind the truck a black car pulled up and a came to a slowing pace. Out stepped a short woman with long black hair, shortly after a girl stepped out of the car. She was slightly taller than the woman, her hair was shorter and her skin was a few shades darker. I looked across the street and noticed the boy who lived in the house just a few feet from mines, was also watching the view. Our eyes met as a smirked began to form on my face. I waved to him and closed my shades. I sighed and walked to my night stand where my daily medication sat. I looked at the clock 5:45 p.m. I groaned and pushed the bottles into the drawer on my nightstand. I peeked out of the blinds, no ones home. I grabbed my jacket and walked across the street. Glancing back across the street I seen the girl look and wave. I smirked and rolled my eyes.

I walked around to the back of the house admiring the ground on which I walked. The lumpy pavement creating bumps and craters through out the walkway . reaching the back door I noticed the mat the spare key usually sat under was not there in it's usual spot. Looking around I seen a vase that was never there before. Inhaling I grabbed the vase and lifted it. I chuckle " Typical" I whispered. Under the vase was the key surrounded by a glob of worms . I grabbed the worms and tossed them on the pavement, grabbing the key and shaking the excess dirt away. "Romelo" I shouted walking towards the stairs. "Romelo where you at" I yelled walking up the stairs. "I'm in the bathroom girl" he yelled. "Hmmm" I nodded and smiled. I walked to his room and threw open the door. "If you don't clean this damn room" I kicked a empty pizza box. "It looks like a pig stye in her, pizza boxes" I stopped when I seen a half eaten burrito. " A burrito really Romelo really?" I laughed "You gonna help me clean it?" He asked coming up behind me. "Do I look like the help?" I grinned turning around to kiss him. "No but please" he whined. Shaking my head "I said no, and don't whine you look like Elephant" I said referring to my blue eyes pit bull Elephant. "Fine but can you order pizza and pick a movie while I clean" I smiled. "But of course." I laughed and turned on my heels walking out if the door. Skipping steps on my way down, I landed on the last step and tripped. I fell on my wrist. "Fuck, Bitch" I shouted. "What?" Romelo yelled. "Nothing" I croaked getting up, I kicked the step and walked to the couch. Flicking on the tv. "Let's see what trash they have on here this time" I said thinking to myself. I surfed through the channels until I came across a movie called "Dark

Woods". "What a load of bull... We're watching this" I murmured. Walking towards the kitchen I heard laughter. "What in the world" I looked across the streets and seen the new family laughing and giggling. I rolled my eyes and grabbed the pizza menu to order our food. I grabbed my cell phone and called the store. "Hi, Jacks pi" I cut him off. "Yea yea, pizza blah, I want to order a large pepperoni and hotwings" I said obnoxiously. "Ahh, always nice to here from you Mili" the man said. "Whatever Jack just bring the damn food!" I shouted. "No problem" he said and hung up. "It's amazing he even answers for your number anymore" Romelo said walking to the refrigerator and grabbing a soda. I smiled "Right". "Hey we should go introduce ourselves to the new neighbors" he said. I groaned. "Why" I asked. "Shut up and come on" he said grabbing my arm. We walked over to the house and stopped. "Well you gonna knock" I said. He glared at me. He knocked twice and waited. "Hello" Romelo said using his 'proper' voice. That's what we call it when he goes all professional when he speaks. "I'm Romelo and this is Malena" Romelo finished. He turned to me with wide eyes. I grimaced. "hey" I said. "Nice to meet you" the women said."I'm Lena, come in". "Ah no than" I started. "Of course" Romelo said pulling me in with him. I looked around seeing everything in place and completely intact. "You move quick" I said referring to the house. Lena looked up and smiled. "Oh yeah". I rolled my eyes. "Whatever " I muttered. "Mason, Aqua" Lena shouted. "Come here for a second" she finished. I heard the sound of footsteps nearing when the tall dark man and girl appeared near the stairs. "Romelo, Malena, this is my husband Mason and our daughter Aqua" Lena finished. "Nice to meet you guys" Aqua said. "How old are you two" Lena asked. "Sixteen" Romelo and I said simultaneously. "Ah, that's nice. Aqua's sixteen also. You two live next door" Mason asked. "I love across the street, but Mili lives next door" Romelo answered. "That's nice where are your parents?" "My parents are at work" Romelo said. Lena nodded and smiled. "And yours" Mason asked. I flinched. "You okay" He asked. "Uhh gone" I said frowning. Masons mouth shaped into a "o" as he apologized. "I'm sorry" Mason said with a small smile. "No, no. Uh it's fine" I said. "Well we better head back to my house" Romelo said. "You're gonna go home together" Mason asked. "We're having a movie night" Romelo answered. "Yep we do it every Thursday " I concluded. "That's adorable" Lena said. "It's what couples do" Romelo said smiling and grabbing me. Mason coughed. "Oh you two are a couple" He asked. "Yep" Romelo answered. Lena smiled again. "A movie sounds good" Aqua said finally looking up from her phone. I was not even aware she was listening. "Wanna Join?" I asked her. Aqua looked at Lena and shrugged. "Sure". A horn honked outside. "Well Jack is here so, Were gonna go" I said. "Who is Jack" Mason stopped us. "The pizza man" Romelo said."Dude chill out" I laughed. "Yea chill out dude" Lena said joining in with our laughter. "See you guys later" Lena waved once we were outside. "Bye mom" Aqua yelled. I walked up to Jack and smiled. "Thanks Jack" I said as I paid. "Anything for you Mili" he responded. Jack was a good friend of my moms before she "went". I gave him a hug and walked into the house. "Mili what movie did you pick?" Romelo asked. "Dark Woods" I responded sitting the food on the table while Melo got the drinks and blankets. "Nice place" Aqua said looking around. "Thanks" he said. I smirked. I sat down in the middle of the couch and took some pizza. Aqua looked at me as I took a bite. "Uhh help yourself?" I said but it came out as a question. "Don't mind if I do" she said picking up a slice. I chuckled. "Alright black for us and blue for Aqua." Romelo said handing out blankets. "Thanks boo" I said covering up. He smiled. "Start it up" he said turning off the lights.

"Well that was a waste of time" I groaned. "I liked it" Aqua said. I rolled my eyes "That movie was trash." I said. She smiled "Yea, it was" she finished before she bursts out laughing. "Next Thursday I'm picking the movie" Romelo laughed. "Oh hush". "Well I start my first day tomorrow, so I better leave." Aqua stated. "First day where " I kind of shouted. "Brooksview high" "That's our school" Romelo said. "Cool, well see you there?" Aqua asked. " Of course" I mumbled.

I don't like this girl very much. She has two things I want.. Step aside bitch I'm new to you. And I always get what I want. I want what she has. She had better watch her back, I'm a dangerous girl. *grins evilly*
