A/N: This story isn't really mine. It was originally chocolate_Muffin's but they couldn't think of any good ideas so they gave it to me. I won't be putting the old part in I will just be continuing where Chocolate_muffin left off. If you want to understand the story read Chocolate_Muffin's story first.

August 1st 1985
It was the day after Harry's 5th Birthday and the Potter family were going to Diagon Alley to get Harry his supplies for the upcoming school year. James and Lily had both managed to persuade Dumbledore into giving them teaching jobs. James was going to be the DADA proffeser while Lily would be teaching the Muggle Studies class.
When they got to Diagon alley they headed straight to Madame Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. When they entered the shop and told Madame Malkin what they were looking for the lady gained a shocked look on her face before collecting herself and bustling the child up onto a stool in order to try on the robes. Unfortunately, the smallest robes they had in stock were quite a large compared to Harry who was short even for a five year old so when he tried the robes on they pooled around his feet and the arms completely covered his hands. They couldn't use magic to resize the robes as that would cause them to wear out too quickly, instead Madame Malkin took the young boy's measurements to make some robes in the correct size. She told the Potters that she would send the robes by owl post within the month.
Once that was done they went to Flourish & Blotts and bought all the books that Harry would require for his first year and a few more books that the mature five year old found interesting such as Hogwarts a History, A Guide to Runes, Quidditch Through the Ages, Modern Muggle Inventions and a few more. Lily gladly paid for the books, ignoring all the surprised looks Harry was receiving before they exited the shop.
Throughout the day, the family went to many different shops buying everything they would all need for the next year such as quills and ink - they would also go to the muggle world later to but pens as Lily and Harry bothered preferred them and even James agreed that they were a lot more practical.
Some of the things that they bought included, a trunk and potions equipment and ingredients.
Finally they only had one shop left to go to: Ollivanders.
They entered the old, dusty shop and Harry jumped as an old man appeared from the back of the shop.
"James Potter, 11" mahogany with a dragon heartstring, pliable and good for transfiguration and Lily Potter, 10 1/4" willow with the hair of a unicorn, swishy and good for Charms, and you must be Harry Potter, Albus informed me that you would be needing a wand this year, which arm is your wand arm?" Asked Ollivander.
Harry just stared at the man in front of him incredulously before slowly holding out his right arm.
As soon as the arm was up, measuring tapes started flying around it, this went on for around a minute before Olivander ran to the back of the shop.
The Potters just stood in silence as the man returned a few minutes later holding a pile of wands. Harry tried each wand before he had gone through all of them, until only one remained.
Harry tried it and a multitude of colourful sparks flew out from the end and Lily and James clapped.
"11 inches Holly and Phoenix feather, how curious." Stated Ollivander.
"What's curious?" Asked Lily.
"Nothing nothing," replied Ollivander not wanting to witness the red heads temper and deciding to tell Dumbledore later instead, "That will be seven galleons."
The Potters quickly paid for the wand and left and then headed home.

"This story is being discontinued along wit all my others as I have lost intrest in them." Ok so that's what I said when I last used wattpad a few years back when I was 11 or 12, now I am 14 and I have returned to wattpad with new ideas and a new interest in the story!!!
