"Evangelynn," Levi said vehemently.

Evangelynn glared at you behind Levi. You just his behind him more. Evangelynn wasn't the nicest person in the world when her orders were disobeyed. Remember the locker incident that happened not to look long ago?

Evangelynn smiled at Levi, putting on her picture perfect smile and flirty attitude. "Levi! What a coincidence! I was just looking for you," she smiled sweetly. "Did you hear about that (Y/N) girl? I heard that she never showers and that she eats out of the trash."

You unconciously sniffed your clothes. You scrunched your nose. It smelled like you just went dumpster diving. What if Levi believes her instead of you?

You looked up at Evangelynn and Levi. Evangelynn had wrapped her arms around his neck and was pulling him away.

Let her, you thought. He would never help you anyways.

You let Levi's hand go. You watched as he looked back at you questioningly. You just started walking backwards slowly into the crowd. You weren't anyone special. You would just vanish like always. He was out of your league anyways...

*****************

You signed yourself out of school early.  Might as well, right? It's not like anyone had the ability of coming to get you anyways.

You walked home with your books and things in your arms. Everyone you passed on the sidewalk walked a five foot radius around you. You were pretty sure it's because of how badly you smelled. You didn't want to be around people anyway. Maybe its for the best.

You got to your house and walked in the door. Instantly the smell of beer hit you. Smelled like your brother was home. You signed and closed the door and locked it behind you. You turned around and surveyed the small house that you and your family lived in. If you could even call it a family. Your brother, Kaz, was always drunk or high or gone. He hardly ever came home sober or clean. You knew why he drank and did drugs though. It was because of your dad.

"Heyyyy sisss. What arre you doing home sooo earlyy?" Your brother slurred his greeting to you out. "Daayyyyuuum. You stink!" He said, stumbling over to you.

"Yeah. It was a bad day at school, so I came home. Where's dad?"

Your dad wasn't the nicest person in the world...

"Dad's sleeping, foorrrr oncccceee."

"That's a relief. Maybe today will be a good day," you said you Kaz. Maybe he would actually remember the conversation you had with him too.

"I wouldn't beeeeet on it thoooough. Dad's been sleeping since you leffftt fur school."

Your eyes widened at his words. It wasn't a shock to you that he fell asleep. It wasn't shock at all, actually. Your eyes widened because you were scared. If he fell asleep. Around the time you went to school, then...

"KAAAZZZZ!" You heard your dad scream from his room.

You looked at your brother. You didn't know what to do. If he came out of his room and saw that you were home, you would be dead.

Kaz grabbed your shoulders and whispered to you with complete seriousness, "No to your room and hide in the closet. Don't come out for anything, not even to go to the bathroom. Don't make a sound. Go!"

"KAZ! WHERE ARE YOU! I KNOW YOU'RE HOME!"

"I'M COMING!" Kaz yelled. He looked at me again. "Why aren't you moving? Go!"

You ran to your room as quietly as you could. You ducked into your closet and closed the door behind you. You crawled behind the stuff at the back of the closet and plugged your ears.
