How I wish to be a butterfly,
A metamorphosis from something "lesser"
Through different stimuli, learn to verify
that the past cocoon is best left to fester
To explore new places and experience,
A brighter and more joyful existence.
Alas, I remain a caterpillar
Waiting for a push to change form
But not quite wishing it to come quicker,
Remaining frozen and torn,
To struggle onwards and dream?
Or to surrender, never to be seen
As the butterfly that could be.
For now I remain a struggler; Waiting to see,
The change that will hopefully affect me.
