The Missing Dragon

I was sitting on my big hay bed one night thinking to myself "what would happen if squirrel (my mother) walked off again leaving me and all my sisters and  brothers all alone again.

Yes I said again, why you ask well its a long story the night I was born me and my litter mates were crawling around when suddenly mother just walked off.

Me and my brothers were scared all alone in the forest.

Then the next day I was greeted in the morning by my father but my mother was still nowhere to be seen.

Then on the evening of the fourth day I finally saw her walk silently out of the woods like nothing had happened .

I so badly wanted to know were she went but I was just to shy to get up and ask.

Finally one day I was able to get the courage to go and ask her where she had been, but I simply got the cold shoulder from her when I mentioned that she was gone for 4 days.

I didn't understand why she never told anyone about it. not even our father, who was not a round very much because he was the leader of this part of the forest.

So he had to got to meetings with the other rulers all the time so he and me and everyone else in my family never asked her because we were just scared she was going to get super mad.
